Hey all!

So, I'm going to be using a combination of weight-lifting and Insanity (and sound nutrition) to get sexy by New Years and beyond. I have done Insanity before- and my results were awesome- but I listened to all those people who told me I was "too skinny" and gained some of the weight back and just didn't feel that great about it. So, its time to ignore the haters, and go with what works for me to feel MY best.

I found that posting online- especially weekly pictures- is a huge motivation to me to stick with my workouts. So, I'll be posting pics, and posting DAILY to show my accountabilty.

If you want to do the same, feel free to join in and post along!

I also believe in the combo of the insanity workout, and weight training.. I think this brings the best out of the body. Keep up the hard work!

First things first..the dreaded BEFORE photo..

Nobody likes putting up a photo of themselves where they don't look and feel like their best (no matter size or shape)- but you gotta face the music. Plus, it helps to see how your body changes from week to week- extremely motivating (especially if the scale isn't budging, you can at least since the difference in weekly pics)

thanks Sean!! I've been doing only cardio for years now, and I realize I got to change that if I want to remain strong into my golden years =)

Second- Acountability.

Wednesday- 1 hour weight-lifting session with traniner. This one was a doozie!

Today- INSANITY pure cardio- DONE- Still gets me every.time. haha

Hey Jessica,

Great choice with Insanity & weight lifting I have done Insanity twice & Im currently doing Body Beast.
I have a great accountability thread if you would like to jump on for support & log your workouts daily.
You already have a great before pic & i can't wait to see the after pic when your at the end of the 63 days.
Pure cardio is one of my favorites.

Meal plan for the day:

Meal #1- 1 cup shredded wheat, 1 cup skim milk, 1/2 banana, small serving chicken breast

Meal #2- Shakeology (with 1/2 banana and 1 tbsp natural peanutbutter)

Meal #3- 1 egg + 4 egg whites, 1/2 slice cheddar cheese, 2 slices wheat bread, veggies

Snack- 1/2 large honey crisp apple + 1tbsp natural peanutbutter

Meal #4- whole wheat linguini (not quite a full serving) + full serving of lean ground turkey + 1/4 cup pasta sauce + veggies

Meal #5 (if needed/still hungry)- small serving chicken breast + 1 slice wheat bread

Nutrition is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. You cannot get the body you want with processed foods..all they do is spike your insulin levels, make you hungrier for more sugar, depress your mood, and make you hold onto fat. "Eating clean" helps you train mean, keeps your cravings to a minimum, and lets all of your hard work show!

workout done for the day! 15 min walk on treadmill (@12-15% incline, 3.5mph) followed by a session in the weight room.

below is my "flex friday pic" (forgot to post it yesterday) I think the weight room is starting to pay off!!

Alright ya'll, today I completed my 60 min run and Insanity Cardio! woo feeling nice and tired today!

Now off my for my 3rd 12 hour shift at the hospital (next two days off!) We had over 15 traumas come in last night, hopefully not as much tonight.

You got the right Idea... accountability ethic is huge..
your dedication to your goal is admirable... and sexy!!

dedication is great to get it but remember to make it a lifestyle to keep it .emoticon

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Let's see, Thursday was 30 min treadmill (12-15 incline, 3.5-3.8mph), then 45 minutes of lifting

Friday- 30 min treadmill, Insanity Plyo

Today- 3X800, 2X400 on track

Between lifitng, running, Insanity, and dancing on thursday and friday night, my legs are TOAST!

Hi Jessica and all-Mind if I join the group? My story: Started Insanity in May and finished one full round and half of another in which I added weight training. Now I am just finishing up Asylum next week and intend to start back on Insanity and add High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with weights as well. Overall I am down about 82 lbs and my fitness level is pretty good. The weight training I have been looking at is in this link http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/six-week-shred-torch-fat-with-hiit-100s.html?mcid=NL-NEWS01120212&rmid=newsletter_december&rrid=13533848 I plan to start this regimine next Saturday which would be 12/22

Looks like you all are really dedicated to reaching your fitness goals and I admire your drive.
