I'm a little worried..
I'm a little worried..
12/7/12 2:56 AM
Hey I was going to put this in the check ur heart rate thread but have made a new topic
so I can maybe get a quicker answer as I'm a bit worried.

my MHR is 187 and I set my max to 171 which in the manual is optimal conditioning at like 90% percent of my maximum heart rate (it's actually 91.5%)

I've only had it 2 days (my heart rate monitor) but today doing Pure Cardio I was hitting like mid 170s which is almost 94% of my MHR.

This cannot be good. What should I do? I seem to be at a minimum of like 85% whilst working out (apart from warm up and stretching)

On one hand you can't say I'm not trying! But on a serious not should I be taking it a bit easier?

Thanks guys as this is important,

Hope every1 else is pushing on,

Greg.

Greg,

I would not worry about going over your target max heart rate especially with Insanity. Because it's designed to push you as hard as you can go for short periods of time. Then during the down time it's good to check your rate to make sure it comes back down into the normal fitness range. If you want to stay below your target then you should stick to a stationary bike, but if you want to push your limits and see what your made of, and burn a crazy amount of calories, then should go all in. They don't call it Insanity for nothing. emoticon

I'm pretty consistently near 190 when I do Insanity and there is no problem. Insanity is meant to put your heart rate super high, so I wouldn't really worry about it. Keep working hard!
