Pull Up Bar Help
Pull Up Bar Help

Hi all -

Recently moved and new basement is a low ceiling with no doors to mount my p90x bar.

Anyone have suggestions for a good pull up station for a 7.5 foot celing?

I have engineered joists, so really hesitant to use that solution.

Anyone have plans on how to build a station to mount the door pull up bar?

Looking for ideas.

Thanks!

Do you have to do the pull-ups in your basement? In only ask because I also just moved into a house with LOTS of doors into the family room but when I went to hang up my pull-up bar I realized that some door frames are too thick, front to back. Others are French doors and are too wide. As it turns out, the only door that works is my bedroom door, which is up a stairway. Still easier than building an entirely new pull-up system.

Thanks for the replies. Prefer to stay in basement from a time perspective. Tough squeezing workout in with the time I have. Best thing I have seen is bowflex bodytower.....but pricey.
