Ok so I am 18 days in on 10 minute trainer doing the advanced results routine. I would like to add weight lifting 3 days a week doing the Strong Lifts 5x5 Strength and Muscle Building program, is it ok to do both programs simultaneously?

A lot of the times when you are starting out with a program they recommend that you completely finish the whole workout program before you start adding anything, or modifying the workouts. This is because even though you are feeling good, the workouts are making your body physically tired, so adding other things to your routine could potentially increase your chance for injury.
I'd say if anything, start off slow. Do a weightlifting exercise, and see how you feel afterwards. If you feel good, do another one. It might be something you have to work up to which is ok. You don't want to rush things like this.

Hi,

I think its okay, as long as you tolerate the increased workload well. I personally, started adding the stronglifts 5x5 but only twice a week and on top of my P90X routine. Sometimes I'll sub the 5x5 routine for one of the P90X days. You have to keep in mind to up your calories and get proper sleep for recovery as well as drink plenty of water. I hope that helps.
