So just got done with my first p90x workout (classic). So I just wanted to ask for advice on some cheap things to eat. All I have been having really so far is the shake recipe. I am going out to buy some clif protein bars because they are cheaper (sorry beachbody but im broke). So I just wanted to know some cheap and easy lunches and dinners to make that are easy to take to work at night. Thanks

Hi,
Congratulations on finishing your first workout!, just 89 more to go!

I would recommend
- Whey protein ($18 for 1 month / Walmart)
- Protein bars ($1/each / Walmart)
- Precooked frozen chicken ($6 / 2 dinners / Walmart)
- Precooked vegetables (walmart)
- Greek Yogurt ($1/each)

All this are low in price and high in protein

The best way to go about it is to make your grocery on the weekend, if you can and try and cook for the week. Use lots of chicken, white fish, vegetables and fruits. Using natural proteins is way cheaper than buying bars and all that stuff.

You can buy some salad, add a bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar...cheap and healthy too.

So I should try and cook all the chicken I will be using during the week? Doesn't it go bad after like 3 or 4 days? Also I found some 20g protein bars at sams club for 12.68 for 18 bars (sams club rules. Also made a huge lean ham that I plan on using in my salads for this week. Been doing the mushroom omelete then a shake then a salad for lunch then a protein bar and then another bigger salad at dinner. total cal around 1300. Any other foods that I should be trying that are easy to make and bring to work with me?

I keep about 3-4 in my fridge and freeze the rest, then heat it up when it comes time to eat!

Best way to go about it...I eat 6 meals a day so I don't have time to cook all of this everyday.

White fish is cheap and has a lot of good fats!

Thanks for all the input. So just another quick question does the dang entire body pain and soreness go away? After plyrometrics today I am seriously having trouble just moving around now. Any remedies for this cause if some of this pain doesn't die down dont know how far I can get in tomorrows workout >.> and I don't want to have to do that. And anyone know of a good plyometrics mat besides that 80 dollar one on here i mean ya I have 2 kids and its Christmas so very short on cash.
