I feel like I've got something wrong
So over the last 2 years I've lost 80 pounds. Started my first beachbody program a year ago, 40 pounds lost since then! emoticon

I'm now 6'5, ~202 pounds. 26 years old. I've been doing awesome, but the ego thing is starting to nag on me as far as how I look. I just finished a P90X2/Asylum hybrid. And my fitness and abilities improved dramatically.

I'm a little frustrated though. my chest and stomach (lower stomach especially) just haven't seemed to make any progress the last 2 months. Now some of it is loose skin, which is it's own frustration. But I don't think it can all be written off to that. So I wanted to post a fairly detailed nutrition layout and just see if there is something dumb I'm doing on it.

I eat basically 3200 calories every day. My macros are 22-24% fat, 27-30% protein, 45-47% carbs

Breakfast:
Strawberries, Banana, Almond Butter, 1% milk. Blended into smoothie
Plain Greek Yogurt with Blueberries
1 slice of 100% whole grain toast

Lunch: (this varies)
Pretty much always involves chicken/turkey. 100% whole grain bread.
spinach salad with celery/carrots/black beans/green beans (dried cranberries/sliced almonds will be added in depending on my macro balance for the day)
avocado/cucumbers

Dinner:
Chicken/Salmon with broccoli. No bread.
Same spinach salad with celery/carrots/black beans/green beans/peas
sometimes some avocado here as well depending on fat needs for the day.

2 times a week I'll have steak and eggs. With the same salad basically.

Snacks:
P90X Protein Bar
E&E / Results and Recovery Formula - at workout time
Shakeology - with banana and strawberry (occasionally 1 tbsp almond butter if I need a bit more fat for the day)

**on busy days I will sometimes I go to either Jason's Deli/Chipotle. Never more than 2-3 times a week

At Jason's Deli:
Whole wheat bread
Chicken/Turkey
Cucumber/Spinach/Avocado

Chipotle:
Spinach burrito.
Brown Rice/Black Beans
Grilled Chicken
Cheese
Spinach

And probably about 4 meals a month I eat something else. Typically still pretty healthy, kind of like the chipotle/jasons deli options. I drink only water. I don't eat any sweets (maybe once a month at worst, but probably like once every 2-3 months I'll have a slice of cake or something)

Just been frustrated on the ego part. My abilities have improved ridiculously. All of the med ball/super impossibles/whatever. I've gotten SO much stronger and better. I just feel like my visual results have stagnated greatly the past 2-3 months.

I too have recently hit this same exact problem. Sometimes after a dramatic weight loss you will hit a plateau in physical physique and in weight, especially when you are close to your body's healthiest minimum weight. After your body has reached this plateau it just takes longer for you to begin to see results. Give it more time, you will get the results you are looking for. Another suggestion is to going to a doctor or nutritionist and discuss this issue with them. They might have better advice for you. Good luck and don't feel discouraged. It looks like your really doing a great job.

80 lbs in 2 years is AWESOME. You are pretty tall and 202 is not that much for the height. What is your current body fat? The loose skin is a tough one. Did you recalculate calories for your new weight?

Thanks emoticon and yeah I don't want or expect to lose any more weight. I'd say at minimum would be 198-200.

Now I haven't actually taken calipers or gone to anything else that's supposed to be super exact. My waist is just under 32 inches, and with some other measurements I've estimated it to be about 10.5%. I know I technically need to lose another 2% at least as I understand it to really have killer definition.

And I have increased my calories to the 3200 as I've gotten more fit, was originally in the 2700-2800 range. It seems to be a good number. It's allowed me to maintain the 202-205 pounds for 3 months now and I haven't ever felt overly tired or anything. But maybe I need to experiment with this some more?

and yeah, the loose skin is tough. This last 3 months has been the first time since a little over 2 years ago I've maintained a weight. There is definitely less loose skin now then there was 3 months ago. I've heard it can take up to 2 years for loose skin to fully tighten up. Especially if you've lost over 60 pounds.

And now that I've stepped back a bit, my back definitely improved a decent a bit, and my legs. Arms improved a tad, but I like how my arms look. I definitely don't want a buiky look. I love Shaun T's look. I'm not sure if it's just because he's younger, but he seems more ripped than Tony without being as muscly? If that makes sense. It's that really lean and cut look that would be my ideal goal.

Shay, first of all, amazing results. To get that last 2% of body fat to disappear, it's going to be all about finding the right intake and keeping it going. I think you should try Zig-Zagging for a while until you determine where you need to be now. Or, if it works better, just keep doing it.

Thanks! I hadn't seen Steve's little article on that. I'll give it a whirl once I finish this 2 week recovery period and see how it goes.

And so I understand it correctly, I should remain at my 3200 calorie mark, but experiment going to 3400-3500 a day a few days a week?

Not exactly. It's a strategy for either increasing OR decreasing your intake. But rather than just jumping straight to some arbitrary number you zig and zag and kind of feel out your way there judging by how your body responds. In your case I suspect you need to zig zag down a little bit, not up, but maybe I'm wrong.
