Calories and Turbofire
Calories and Turbofire

Hello all!!

I previously did Insanity and lost close to 20lbs. I have about 5 more to lose, and I am just in the first week of Turbofire. I noticed that there was a slowing down in my weight loss, so I decided to check out the calorie intake calculator to make sure I am eating correctly. I use Myfitnesspal to track and I currently have it set at 1400 calories. After doing the calculation, it said I need 1830 calories to reach my goal!!! Can this be right??? It seems REALLY EXCESSIVE!!

The more calories you eat, the more energy you will have, the more you will be able to push yourself, and the more calories and higher after burn you will achieve. With that in mind, what did you use to eat for calories during Insanity?

You should get a hold of your coach and have them figure out your calories based off your height, weight and age. If you'd like some help with that, let me know your specifics.

1400 is very low, so yes, its probably higher than that.

During Insanity I started out eating only 1200 calories and I wasn't losing much so my coach suggested I bump it up. From then on I used MFP, started with a base of 1200, then 'ate back' whatever calories I burned. This worked, but it was annoying having a different calorie amount everyday to work with. I am trying to establish some consistency for myself and my eating habits. I think I am going to ask my coach what he thinks...maybe there is something to it? Thanks all!!
