Excited to workout like a warrior to Combat. Share motivation and experiene

Hi all,

I've been tracking my Les Mills Combat, well, more like stalking the tracking since it shipped on Friday. I am excited to start this program but I am not sure what to expect. I already enjoy TurboFire and will assume it may be similar in some ways just not as dancy and choreographed. I'm joining a challenge which I believe starts January 1. I'm looking for people to keep me accountable here and looking for others to share their Les Mills Combat experience here while I am on it. I think while I'm waiting for January, I'm gonna be doing a lot of previewing of the dvd set and information that comes with it to become familiar with it.

Hey Solana!

I just received my LM Combat yesterday! And I immediately opened it and worked on the basic moves (Thank you Chalene for all of your TurboJam years) and did the first workout AND was so psyched I tried the Warrior I - Upper Body Blast!! It was awesome!

I still do Chalene's workouts but she dances a lot (Turbofire) and I like more a more athletic tone to my workout (Punch, Kick & Jam and Total Body Blast (stability balls rock!) and LM Combat has that athletic feel to it that I can suck up. I can't wait to get home tonight and try out a few of the videos - I could have worked out all night last night, but stopped after three hours -- had to go to work the next day.

I am doing LM Pump the same time and I think the two programs will really compliment one another. Best wishes on your journey.

Lots of energy you had Lisa. I got mine today. All I did was open the box! I couldn't preview it cause my son was doing his Insanity. Know what you mean on the dancing part in TF. I like it. Based on the short video from BB, it looks like it'll be easier than TF. More repetitive than dancy.

Hey everyone!

I did the Combat 30 this afternoon and let me just tell you: IT WAS FUN and THOSE 30 MINUTES WENT BY REALLLLLLY FAST!

Everything about it was NON-STOP, with slow down intervals in between so you basically caught yur breath at the right moments throughout the workout.

Although, I have to reconsider rearranging my furniture in my room since throughout the workout, I hit my face twice doing the fast jabs and 'guards', kicked my bed, ran into my desk chair, and almost kicked my tv but luckily nothing fell or broke! emoticon But at the end, I still couldn't believe time went by FAST though. I was thinking, "That's it?" lol

Can't wait until I officially start the Basic Workout calendar on the 17th!

Go WARRIORS! Woot!

Awesome weight loss story! I do Turbo Fire. I did Combat 30 today to test it out. I workout in my living room and I have a glass Christmas tree this year. So I worry when I kick cause I'm afraid I'm to close. I'll be officially starting Combat on January 1 as part of a challenge. Wanna join?

Thanks! It was a long battle with original P90 but I feel a big difference! No more sluggish or pain ! And I heard of TurboFire! I love cardio-related exercises! And haha I know what you mean about kicking something! And sure! I would love to join the challenge! 17th to the last day of Dec., I did plan on just familiarizing myself to the program but that'd be great to join a LMC Challenge! Count me in!

Hey All!

I did Combat 30 last night and LOVED IT!!!!! It reminds me a lot of Taebo, just more intense. Taebo was the first program that got me interested in exercise and fitness. Turbo Fire is my "soulmate" workout, and was the first Beachbody workout for me. I have also done Hip Hop Abs, Body Gospel, Insanity, and a little bit of Rev Abs (couldn't get into that one for some reason) I think that I am really going to enjoy Combat. I also plan to sneak in some Insanity workouts, just because I love Shaun T's torture! emoticon

LOL! Gotta love his torture! I tried Taebo too, but I never really got into it. It was fun, but not as motivating. TF is also my soulmate workout. Insanity is my go to feel like a bad@$$ workout. LOL. BB products are amazing. I'm gonna be trying HHA for the first time tomorrow with a bunch of girlfriends. Super excited!

Combat 60 Ultimate Warrior review: I did this workout on Thursday. It didn't feel like I busted butt in the workout like I would with TurboFire 55. BUT, when I looked at my HRM, I was like "whoa!" I burned what I would with TF 55. How awesome! I gotta say Combat is something and can't wait to get into it fully come January!

I haven't gotten to COMBAT 60 yet. I am behind schedule with all the holiday parties and stuff going on. That's the one that I'm dreading the most though. So far the HIIT 1 workout is the one that kicked my butt the most. I actually felt like I was going to throw up afterwards, and I didn't even do it full out. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'll let you know how I feel about COMBAT 60 in a few days! Keep pushing play! emoticon

I did Combat Power HIIT yesterday, and whew >__< is all I gotta say. Felt the burn in the legs and the core workout at the end...what can I say. I died. Completely different type of HIIT from TurboFire.

HIIT Power is a booger! I actually felt like I was going to puke afterwards! I did The Lower Body workout last night, and I can definitely feel the soreness in my legs today. Tonight I will tackle Combat 60. I'm a little nervous about it. I haven't done an hour long workout since Fire 60. It should be interesting! emoticon

Lol! I think I'll need to purchase the rest of the program! Anyway Anyone getting healthy with Les Mills Combat? I'm finishing up my last week of TurboFire this week. I've been testing out different Combat DVDs and love it! I'll be starting the week after my last week of TF. I'll also be doing a Combat Challenge either the end of this month or beginning of February. Are you interested in following me on this Combat journey? Are you interested in joining in on a Combat Challenge? Buddy me and message me or find me @ facebook.com/SolanaAnnAdachi and message me.

I love Combat! I've never liked another workout after starting it, but just more so tolerated it. I just completed my first week along with the 7 day jump start. I lost 5 pounds and 2 inches (1 on my hips, 1 on my waist).
I agree that the additional workouts are great. Tough, but they really work you.

Hi,

I've been doing Les Mills Combat 6 days/week and tonight will be Day 20. I totally love this program and the team on the dvds are fun and they make me look forward to my workouts every day. After each workout, I feel like there is nothing I can't do if I put my mind to it. Like 2 years ago, I decide to lose a lof of weight and I did. I lost 85 pounds.

If you need someone to talk to, send me an e-mail.

Thanks,

Caroline

ninjata,
First off, Congratulation on the loss! That is some changes for 1 week! Keep it up. Isn't it amazing what a workout can do to your whole body--mind, physical, wellbeing. When I first started working out, I was like "I've been missing out on this feeling!" Love it!
