I am a single mom and have the same challenge with time and no support. I got the 10 minute trainer because I have 10 minutes just before I make dinner. I think I can do that everyday. I hope it works for me. I hope your husband becomes a better man while you are working so hard.

It can be tough with kids. You have to think about when is the best time to workout. Do all the kids got to school or have a nap time? That would be when you could work out. I wouldn't focus on what your husband says. You are making changes for you!! Stay positive. emoticonemoticonemoticonemoticon

I couldn't echo what everyone else has already said enough! Just having the mindset, and the want to actually go ahead and make a change is one of the biggest factors! emoticon

10 minute trainer would be an awesome starting point! Or even Slim In 6!! Now for the scheduele find something that you know you can commit to! Maybe waking up a little bit earlier to workout if you're a morning person! Or just finding a time that you know you can dedicate each day! “First steps are always the hardest but until they are taken the notion of progress remains only a notion and not an achievement.”

You can SO do this! And let all of us help you in any way we can and help cheer you on!

Did you have a workout plan in mind? I think 10 minute trainer would be a great idea. It will ease you into exercise without taking up too much of your time since you seem to have your plate full with the kids.

As for nutrition- if your house if full of good food, that's what you will eat. Salad, chicken, lean meats. I always have Greek yogurt, fruit, veggies, eggs, string cheese and nuts in the house. Those make for easy grab and go things. Get yourself some protein bars for when you don't have time to prepare anything.

Please let me know if you need any more help.

Jessica,

I agree with Gina. If you keep good food in the house, that is what you'll eat. And, chances are good it'll be good for the kids too. You have to schedule time for you. In all things. Your workout is YOU time. And the best kind of YOU time. When my little one was really little, I had to work out after he went to bed. It was late and inconvenient, but it was the best I could do. Now, I drag him with me to the racquetball courts or park and he plays on his DS and gets HIM time in while I workout. The beauty about most Beachbody programs is that they're based on DVDs and you can pop them in a laptop and take them anywhere. It's motivating to work out in public if you have to. And sometimes, you pick up a workout buddy! emoticon My husband and I have turned it into a family thing when we can. And, it really has improved our relationship. Just a thought if it's possible. Keep the faith and commitment. Your husband should be more supportive. But he may have to see the positive changes you make for you and your unwillingness to slip on your goals before he GETS it. Most men are dense. (Sorry boys).

Truly,
Lori
