P90X 60 days result
P90X 60 days result

I'm currently in week 9 of P90X yet still no sight of the 6 packs, the outline is more visible though.

I was on the Fat Shredder (50/30/20) diet in the first month and switched to 40/40/20 in the second month. I still have about 15% body fat so last week I decided to revert to the 50/30/20 diet hoping to speed up the fat lose in the final month!

Here's my day 1 picture:

And here's day 60:

Great results! You are well on your way. Just be careful with less carbs- if you start bonking I would add them back in.

Cheers!

Christina - I bonked a lot during the first week but have since adjusted my eating habits. I try to eat frequently and will either eat a protein bar or shake an hour before the workout. That seems to have worked so far. emoticon

First of all, impressive 60 day results...but...I just want to warn you...if you eat too much protein for too long and you will lose muscle along with that fat. I'm picking up Body Beast clients who lost too much muscle on P90x. Are they ripped? Yes...but they are "skinny ripped". emoticon

Complex Carbs are where it's at. Try eating a Mutigrain English Muffin with Peanut Butter spread on top 1 hour before working out, or maybe a banana with that Protein Bar. I like the macro of 50% carb, 30% protein, 20% fat. You can eat this macro and still be at a deficit in calories lose weight and gain some muscle mass.

It has worked well for me.

Robert, I like that someone on these message boards finally called it like it is and used the term "skinny ripped." I see all these guys on here who come out of programs like Insanity and gloat that they're "ripped" but they weigh 140 pounds. If a 14-year old can kick your ass, you're not ripped. Eat a damn sandwich and lift some iron!

Guys - thanks for the constructive advice. I wish I could call myself ripped. At 5'10" and with 15% body fat, I'm not where near where I wanted to be. I do, however, want to at least keep my muscle mass while losing that fat. I'll probably try to eat higher carb content before the workout like you've suggested and see if I could pump heavier weight and/or do more reps. Thnx.
