Frustrated. Please help
Frustrated. Please help
12/10/12 3:10 PM
I started P90x 2 weeks ago, Im on my third week today. I have weighed myself, haven't lost any weight. I have only lost inches mainly in my stomach. I'm also working out at night, and when I'm done for the day, I'm falling asleep at like 7:30 -8:00 pm. I'm eating as directed. Is it normal to not loose weight yet,and to be so tired so early at night. I do not want to give up and I'm not going to, I'm just not looking forward to seeing dissappointment every week.
Advise please.
thanks Penny

Congrats on choosing to go with P90X! It is a truly awesome program! As far as the weight loss you have to give it time! Remember, you are losing fat, and inches, but also gaining yourself some awesome muscle! Keep up the good work, and even better, keep following the nutrition guide, and you will get yourself some awesome results!

If you get any questions feel free to ask!

Penny,

It is very common to not lose weight in the first few weeks but actually gain a couple of pounds. Your body is going through a sort of trauma you might say and is protecting itself by retaining water. Don't expect any big results until about the 5th or 6th week. It's ok to weigh yourself but try to stay focused on the long term, the short term can be discouraging sometimes. Remember to check your measurements as well and you really have to follow the nutrition guide closely, that is the secret to big changes.

Hope this helps.

Greg

I agree with above! Don't focus on the weight as much as inches lost and how you feel! IF you start noticing muscle definition, you're all good!!!

Penny,

Try sending your coach an email, if they don't reply in a few days then you might try looking for onw. I would be glad to be your coach or if you prefer a female I know a good one.

Congrats as well on your decision to change your life with an amazing program like P90X. Your nutrition/meal plan is important, I am afraid you are either not taking in enough calories or taking in too many...also its important to know you are eating the right foods throughout the day, along with what you are or are not having before your workouts and after your workouts...this could be just as important to seeing fat loss and results!!! If you are in need of help and dont want to be frustrated or dissapointed, please feel free to message me or go to my Facebook fitness page www.facebook.com/WarriorHomeFitness.

Coaches...the main goal of these posts is to help out!

As for your frustration, seriously don't bother too much with the scale...while you are building muscles, chances are, your weight will increase.

If you see results in your measurements, it means that the workout is working well for you!
