Questions about this program
Questions about this program

I am a 42 year old guy, I would like to lose about 40 pounds, I currently weigh about 250. I would like to lose some weight, tone all over and increase my stamina. I am not sure what the best program is for me so I am wondering if Slim in 6 is good for men, or if there is something else that would be better. I know it's tough to answer a question like this but I am so lost when searching for programs.

When you go to your home page and scroll down to beachbody programs it will
give you a detailed description of each and what you need and what it will do
for you.

If you like weights, pushups, pullups I would suggest P90X, if you like aerobics
with lots of jumping get Insanity. If you like dance-type moves, get one of the
other ones listed. They all give you great results with clean nutrition and plenty
of protein and plenty of sleep!

Just some of my thoughts. Hope some of it may be useful to you.

Good luck in your fitness journey!

Susan is right. there are many programs that are all great and you will get results from any of them. The key: DO IT! What every program you choose you have to push play every day - you have to watch your calories and eat right. You could buy every program out there but if you dont do it you wont get results.

Now, with that said: What type of workouts do you like. I had to ask myself that before buying a program. I started with Hip Hop Abs - it was a lot of fun and the workouts were 30 minutes long. It was great to get me started and used to working out again. Then I couldnt decide where to go next. so here's what I looked at: at the time I didnt like cardio so much, but liked free weights. That made me go to P90X instead of Insanity.

There are a few others you can look at Power 90, Turbo Fire, Les Mills ---I would suggest going to You Tube and looking up some of these workout programs and see what some of the moves are that people have taped themselves doing. Thsi will give you a great idea of the workout.

If you have any questions- shout out! There's lots of people willing to help here.

I agree to search you tube. There are beachbody users who have posted videos of themselves doing the workouts. it can help you get a feel for the different programs to see if they will interest you.

slim in 6 is a great program, especially for beginner to intermediate workouts. You will lose weight and get smaller.
Since you are a guy, I would also look at Power 90 (the prequel to P90X), P90X (if you have time and can commit to the challenge), Les Mils Pump, 10 minute Trainer. I personally did not like RevAbs but some people have gotten good results.

I am finishing Les Mils Pump right now and Love it. I was impressed with their beginner workouts - they were very knowledgeable and informative. My husband has just started Pump after watching me and has lost 10lbs in 2 weeks emoticon

good luck!
