It is all about doing what works for you.

Me, I weigh daily, have my body fat tested weekly,and have my measurements done weekly. For me it is all about body composition, yet I realize we are so much more than the scale, it is simply a tool, though not always accurate that assists me in reaching my goals.



Do what works for you and God luck on reaching your goals.

throw your scale away -- seriously. that thing is so inaccurate and anything can throw off the numbers -- where you are in your cycle, what you ate that day (if it made you bloated), water retention, your period etc. why drive yourself nuts over a number that isn't accurate to begin with?

i go with inches lost only and to avoid stressing out about things not changing, i only did monthly checks/measurements. weight loss takes time and the stress over what you're not losing isn't doing you any favours but increasing the cortisol levels in your body which LOVE to hold onto fat!

so liberate yourself from the scale, for real. focus on getting healthy, not getting skinny; big difference. since i started back in january of this year, i've only stepped on the scale twice -- once because i was at my doctor's doing a physical and they made me, and the other time when i first started p90x. i don't even CARE about the scale; i just care about inches lost and how i feel.

It's tough. Scale Addition. I've been fighting it for a LONG time. I seriously use to weigh myself four to five times a DAY. Yep. A day. I realized it was getting bad and I was getting discouraged from it. I put the scale away where I wouldn't see it for a week. I measure, and I weigh in every Monday morning now. It's hard to get rid of it when we are taught to use it to measure our progress. I would say, limit yourself. OR like a previous poster recommended ONLY weigh yourself when you start to feel a change in your clothing.
