I'm on my second week of P90X and I have not lost a pound and I don't feel like I'm doing anymore weight then I did one week one. Has anyone else had the same problem? Or do I have to keep at it to start seeing improvement? Plus I'm eating heathy.

Hi raykelly!

Congrats on starting P90X. It was mt first program. It it common to not lose weight intially or even gain some weight (its your muscles reacting). You will see improvements. You are tracking reps and weights with the sheets? Are you doing higher reps 12-15? Do you feel the muscles going to failure-feel like you cannot do another rep? I often try to increase my weight or reps (sometimes easier to increase reps until strong enough for next weight set) each time I do the workouts. Do you have adjustable weights?

Its great that you are eating healthy! Are you tracking? One of the biggest issues especially for women is not eating enough. This is just as bad at eating too much. I like tracking via myfitnesspal and using a heart rate monitor for my workouts.

How are you feeling during the workouts? After? Sore?

What is your goal with P90X overall? Happy to help!

Thank you so much!!! I don't know a lot about this stuff but I want to do it right. I have every size weight and the first 3 days I couldn't walk or left anything I was so sore but now I don't have that. I'm doing about 10 lbs 12-15 and at times can't hardly lift that. My over all goal is to lose weight after having four kids! I'm 5"4 and 165lbs so I'm really out of shape. I'm trying to eat every 2-3 hrs but its hard. Since I'm have been working out I'm hungry all the time!!! I not only want to lose weight but build muscle too! I don't want to quit at this cause I need and want to be fit!!!

I will check out the workout group!!!! Thanks you for helping me!!!

Keep up the hard work RayKelley!

Bear in mind as a guy my advice/testimony may not be completely applicable to you but I'm just finishing up P90X and I've only lost 5 pounds! Ok...in the spirit of full disclosure I'm 5'8.5" and now weigh about 161.2 lbs. So I started out not necessarily overweight. BUT my body fat percentage was close to 15%. I know to many people that sounds like a decent BF% but when your goal is to look infomercial-worthy 15% doesn't cut it. My main gains...or losses rather have been in my body fat percentage and along with that my waist size. I've cut my BF% down to 8.9% and my pants are falling off if I use the same belt notches as before. All that to say this, I wouldn't pay too much attention to weight, especially in the first few weeks. For you I'd focus on how you feel, what you see in the mirror, and dress sizes.

As far as you being hungry all the time, my question to you would be: Have you tried shakeology? It took me a LONG time to finally give in and give it a try but after only a couple of weeks I knew I wouldn't want to do any program without it. It definitely makes pretty much all my cravings disappear because it has so many of the vitamins and nutrients the body needs and made into the smoothie sizes I make it practically counts as two meals!

Sorry for the long response, just remember results come in the end! You may not see anything for quite some time but if you keep pushing play and eat smart it's IMPOSSIBLE that you won't see a dramatic change after 90 days. It's an easy decision to push play and just do your best but it is also just as easy not to. The trick is to make that simple decision one day at a time and you'll reach your goal and beyond.

HectorFebres- thank you for the inspiration! It is getting better and I do feel more energy but the week of Xmas was very hard with all the good food. I feel like I'm starting over again cause of the stuff I ate! I'm starting to learn that the way I look means more then the scale. I do want to try shakeology but its $120 for just one month. I know that's not a big deal to some but to me that seems like a lot. Who knows might give in and try it. P90X is hard and I'm doing my best but its hard. I think it's great how much body fat you have lost!!! Thank you again for your reply it made me feel better about everything. It seems like I have to get on beach body everyday to get inspired.
