i am entering into month 2 of Insanity. I have never made it this far before. The last time i started Insanity, I was so freaked out by the first month's workouts, that i just kept doing THOSE workouts into week 5 & 6 before i stopped.

Now, i have not missed 1 workout, i have changed my diet, i am starting Shakeology today, AND this sunday, i will be seeing my first max interval workout....and i am petrified.

i just hope i don't lose my nerve before i have the chance to pop the dvd in on sunday. anyone experience this? anyone else starting the 2nd month?

I totally understand where you're coming from, and I had similar feelings my first time through Insanity. The month 2 workouts are intense, but it's kind of like month 1. At first, they're really hard, but as you keep going through the month you find that you keep improving and by week 4 you get pretty good at them. Plus that's when people seem to see the majority of their results. Just like when you started out, don't be afraid to take short breaks and catch your breath a bit before you jump back in. You can do it!

Hi Kris!

Congrats on getting so far into Insanity! emoticon You are doing GREAT! It is SO normal to feel this way about Month 2. Just approach it like month 1. It will be hard, BUT you will improve. I actually liked month 2 better. I would just have everything set-up. if you work out in the morning lay out your clothes so get up and dressed and ready to workout before you lose your nerve.

Hey Kris, I just started month 2 yesterday ! I felt really nervous too, because it was both the fit test -and- an hr long work out. I have to admit, I was completely shattered afterwards. I did them both back to back to utilize the warmed-up state from the fit test.

Are you doing the recovery week dvd?...How are you finding it?

I have to admit, I put off doing my first session of month 2 until the late afternoon, but thats ok because I still got through it. You might experience the same, but something tells me that your dedication isnt gona let you go.

Because I did the fit test and max circuit back to back, I decided not to push myself at all for it, and just get through it and experience the reward for that. Thats the mission for the first one, just get through it and the rest will follow.

Hey Kris,

Congrats on getting to Month 2. : ) I was also really nervous before starting Month 2 because I had heard (and read on these message boards) how intense it was, I wasn't sure I could do it. Now I'm about to finish week 2 of Month 2 and I'm more excited than ever to for the workouts because they do challenge me. The thing is, you can always take a break and rest during the workouts, but, if you never tried them, you'll never be able to say you did them. For me, it was about realizing that I never regret doing a workout, but I have regretted NOT doing it. Try to live with the least regret possible! : )

Hi! I will also be starting month 2 but on Monday(12/17)emoticon I am scared too. This is my second time with Insanity and I only got to the 5 th week last time and gave up. So I am pretty excited to be completing week 5 and moving on to the part where I start melting like butter!!! emoticon I am 5' 1" and started at 180 lbs. I am currently 174 lbs and have lost 10 inches total so far. I don't see a whole lot of differnce but I am not giving up this time and will at least complete the program. I am no longer so sleepy or lacking energy through out the day, so that is a plus. emoticon Good luck this Sunday! I can't wait to read your post on how it went!!

Thanks, guys! I just did my last core cardio and balance workout today. Still nervous but looking forward to Sunday and the new workouts!

Just wanted to report that although my first day was -really- tiring and tough, I've just done my 3rd day, and I can say that I am already starting to feel adjusted and comfortable (as oppose to scared) doing it. Yesterday I still had to really dig deep to press play, but today I was well up for it !

So, even if tomorrow is hard, I am sure it will get better quickly for you like it has for me. Oh yes, I was 180lb's when I started this round of Insanity, so I am speaking as a jane average un-fit person emoticon

i did it! i survived! haha!
i actually completed a lot more in the max interval circuit then i did on my first day of plyo circuit, so i was very happy when i collapsed when the countdown clock hit 0. the only time i needed rests were during anything upper body. i have very limited upper body strength, so i wasn't as frustrated when i needed to stop those exercises. i was very proud of myself. can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! go me! haha

Congrats. Tomorrow I start week 3 of of month 2. I remember when I started, I really never thought I would get this far. Just keep pushing and you will complete it. This is by far the hardest workout I have ever done, and it feels so good every time I finish a workout!
