Core 20 problems
Core 20 problems

I started turbofire this week. I actually skipped week one because I was doing insanity and I was going into month two of insanity and I decided it was a knee killer for me at this moment. But I need help with core 20. I have elbow problems and the first part of the Core 20 hurts me when I keep my elbow bent for too long. So I had to stop. I did the modified version of the workout and it still helps. I heard the core workout are important to do. So I was wondering if someone had an idea on how to modified it or if I should just stop using the resistance bands for that part. I actually look into other programs with core workouts but some of them involve doing pushups with I can't do because of my wrists even with pushup bars. So if someone know a workout that would be good to replace this one with please let me know thank you.

I am no expert but if I were you, I would just do it without the bands for now. You will still be contracting your abs and getting a workout even without them.

hmmm.

for the ones where you are crunching to the side working your obliques you could either hold the band down at your side and choke WAY up, or hold a dumbbell down by your side instead. You'd still be overcoming some resistance.

I don't have elbow and wrist problems, but the bands hurt both places.. My core is pretty strong from brazil butt lift so I don't think that's a problem. For me, I do the bands where I can, but use dumb bells for the parts that its possible to do so with. If it hurts your joints, you're asking for trouble. Try the weights and see how that feels

Thank you for all your suggestions. I never thought about using weights. So I am going to retry the workout today and see how it goes.
