Are you looking for a 60 day challenge that will change your life? Are you looking to get lean and mean and have the best cardio endurance of your life? Do you need a coach who can help to get you there and keep you motivated?

I'm loiking for a handful of such individuals to form a FaceBook Group, keep each other acountable and have a great time while going INSANE.

GOALS
Why are you doing this? Is it to loss 5 to 10 pounds, is it to impress someone, or is it to change your life? This is a life changing program and it is totally worth it and everything worthwhile is worth working for. To make sure that you get these life changes you should read through the Fitness and Nutrition guides to help you understand the steps necessary. Whatever your goals are now, I urge you to consider this a lifetime change, not just a 60 day challenge. Make fitness part of your life and you will forever be thankful and you will be a better partner, parent, person and be around for the ones you love. Make your GOALS SMART:

S = Specific "I want to lose weight," is not very specific. How about: "I am going to lose 15 pounds or 2 pants or dress sizes."

M = Measurable Anything that you can measure.

A = Attainable Is it possible to attain your goal? Don't go overboard, but don't go too easy either.

R = Realistic Related to Attainable, ha to be something you can do. Are you looking to lift a cretain weight, run a faster mile or just not get out of breath tying your shoes.

T = Time Limited Give yourself a deadline. In fact this has already been done for you by the folks that created Insanity. It is 63 DAYS!!!!

Hey Everyone!

I'm so excited to do this challenge starting Dec 31 and hope that you'll join me. I'm currently 5'6" and weigh about 166lbs. I don't have a goal of how much weight I want to lose but I want to look great and be proud of myself. I'm ready for a change.

Insanity is suppose to be a great program and with the number of people currently using it and getting results I have to say that I'm excited to be a part of it. This will be my first time going through Insanity.

I've been in contact with CoachLarry for a few weeks now and have to tell you that he is a great coach. He's always super quick to respond to my questions and has great advice. He's also very active on the forums (posts every day) and helps to keep his people motivated.

So, what are you waiting for??? ;)

Desiree - Great to see you and now the group has started. Doing it on FB as a lot of people find that more convenient than this site as you ca access easy via phone.

For anyone else, Dec 31 date is not written in stone. If you start the 24th or in first week of January, it's all good, just want to get a group of people in the same timeframe to knock out Insanity. It is an awesome program and very intense

Motivation
Nothing is more important than motivation. Times will get tough and there are going to be days that you feel like you cannot get up or you feel too tired at night to workout. This is where your coach and these boards help out. By joining this thread you will find like minded people that will push you and look for help from you to be pushed. This is a 90 day program and it helps to have not just your coach in your corner but a whole team ready to cheer you on and waiting for you to cheer them on.

Also Track your accomplishments:
• Take your measurements
• Take your before and after pictures
• Use the Worksheets

I can't stress this part enough. It REALLY helps to see your progress! Get those measurements and pictures. You don’t have to share your pictures but the motivation that it provides to others is invaluable as you will see when others post their pictures. Take a look at these videos to help you get your photos and measurements right.

Workouts
WARNING: I know the first week of Insanity was ROUGH for me and I assume it will be for you. Fight your way through, do your best and things will get easier and better with time. Do your best and do what you can do, that's all you can ask for. As Tony Horton says, "Do your best and forget the rest".

Pre-Workout
All the workouts are intense! You need the right fuel to “DIG DEEP” and a pre-workout meal about an hour before is important. But be warned if you workout too close to the pre-workout meal you may lose it.

If you workout first thing in the morning, you can skip the meal but you may want to include a 1/3 of your recovery drink in to your water to make sure that you have enough energy to get through your workouts or 1/2 a banana or try the Energy and Endurance for that extra push.

Post Workout:
One of the most important parts of any exercise routine is a recovery drink. I cannot stress how important this is. By adding a recovery drink immediately after your workout you will significantly decrease the amount of soreness you will experience while recovering from your workouts. Plus it replaces vital nutrients that you burned during your workout and prevents muscle damage. The P90X Recovery Drink is a very good product and I highly recommend it. Aside from the proper 4:1 Carbsemoticonrotein ratio, it has Creatine and L-Glutamine which both help your muscles replenish and rebuild.

Thanks coach for the information! I've already got my shakeology ready to go. I like how they have dessert recipes that you can make with it for healthy desserts because I still want to have dessert sometimes. emoticon The videos you posted are really helpful too, I used both of them. I still need to get my pictures up on the site though. I'll make sure to get that done before I start my Insanity round 1.

Quick check in, super busy day and still going, one sick kid and a lot to do. I'll try to catch up later, no workout, but lots of work, so it evened out.

Des - Shakeology is awesome, definitely helped me drop the weight and cut 40 points off my cholesterol. I want to try one of those Shakeology desserts for Christmas. What are you doing in the 2 weeks before you start? I started up the FB group and added you, I'll add details later.

Accountability FIRE 55 EZ - I'm not going to do the entire program, but I do want to do a week as it is laid out to see how it is. I'm starting with Week 5 on the schedule as the first 4 are a prep phase and I think I'm passed that. I'll make an adjustment as I still want Friday as my rest day. Also, she does rest on Day 3, then 6 straight from Day 4 to Day 2 of the next week. I'll try to line that up so the 6 straight are Sat-Thurs. 55 is a long one, good workout, lots of energy and even though it is EZ, still high intensity and enough jumps. Feels good to knock it out early. I'll try just to catch up to this page, I know I'll miss a lot, but I did go back and read, you guys are busy.

Alright everyone, have a great day today. My workout is done, tree went up yesterday and today will be the day to decorate. Wife is not feeling good so not sure we're inviting company, but hopefully the kids still enjoy doing it with me.

Good morning Team ENGAGE, happy Monday. I am exhausted, very little sleep, son is still sick and having issues at night and my wife is getting worn out between him and her mother being in the hospital. Decorating the tree is usally one of my favorite days and yesteraday it was just me and my daughter, my wife and son weren't up for it and it just wasn't the same without everyone. Plus we didn't bake cookies or have anyone else over. I know these things are all temporary, but they can drag on you while you are going through them and there's not a lot I can do.

Still 2 weeks before the main start date, but you can join in early if you'd like.

Sorry to hear that your family is sick right now. I hope that they feel better really soon, especially with Christmas coming up!

I'm hoping to try the Chocolate Shakeology pudding made with avacado within the next few weeks.

Right now I'm trying to work on eating right. I use to be really bad for snacking on unhealthy food. I'm getting better but still find I go through little snack attacks. I'm trying to make my lunch for work each day and not buy junk for the house. Just a box of cookies or one or two small things so that if I get that big craving I have something and don't go crazy eating everything else. If I get some time before I start I've been doing a workout here or there and I also need to start getting up earlier. I've decided that the easiest time for me to work out each day is in the morning before work because I get home at 6:30 and then I have to eat dinner, take care of the dog and I want to relax. I'm not a morning person so this is going to take a little bit of getting use to but I think it's well worth it.

Angel - That's what got most of us into trouble and even after we workout is the hardest thing to correct - Nutrition. 40 something years of eating bad didn't dissappear overnight, it is a constant battle for me and I just take a day at a time and try to make good decisions. So good idea to start getting that in line now and wouldn't hurt to jog or do something to warm you up for this, Insanity is the craziest cardio you've ever done.

Some more tips. One of the beauty ponts of Insanity is you don't need equipment. Just you and the floor.

Lastly post your Accountability Daily.
I cannot stress the increase in success rates of people who post with a group. You have to make it a commitment if you join us to post every day and let us know what you did or didn't do and how it felt. Again, that is why soem people prefer FB to this site as it is so much easier to hit from your phone.

I look forward to getting to know you. I’ve met many great people in my time here and look forward to meeting more. I will be doing a hybrid plan, but I've done Insanity and know the discs, plus I wil be using some of them in my hybrid.

Accountability FIRE 30 and Sculpt 30 - Up till yesterday I was doing random discs, now I'm following her schedule with FIRE 30 followed by Sculpt 30 which is a good combo. Nice cardio for 30, then grab the bands and do curls, tricep presses and other moves finished with some core. Good workout. Still gotta get used to some of those band moves, they can be tricky.

Welcome XV! Glad to have you with us.

Coach: Hope your headache didn't last too long this morning! I've been getting them for the past few weeks in the afternoon but I think it might be from not drinking enough water while I'm at work so I'm trying to make sure to drink more. I'll see if that helps.

I want to start Insanity next week so badly but I don't think it would work out for me because of all the travelling we have to do over the holiday's. emoticon I think tonight I'm going to get in a workout though. Just haven't picked one yet. Any suggestions?

This weekend I found out that my brother most likely has Celiac Disease. He's getting the blood work done but the Doctors are pretty sure that he has it. Since it runs in families there a chance that I have it too. emoticon I'm hoping I don't but since I have some symptoms it would make a lot of sense if I did. I'm seeing my Doctor in January so I'll request blood work. For now, I have decided to enjoy my three (possibly four) Turkey dinners as if nothing is amiss.
