Hi all,
Starting my first insanity work out today and nervous as hell.
Any tips?

A little about me; I am scheduled to complete insanity on my 30th birthday. My goal is to lose 40lbs.
I am about 5'8 and 230lb.

Anyone else starting? Add me as a workout buddy.

Any tips from veterans?

Firstly, congratulations on choosing to workout! Not gonna lie, Insanity is tough! I'm approaching the end of week 5. The best advice I can give is just to do as much as you can. Don't try to keep up with those on the DVD cos they go super insane! Go at your own pace, but do push yourself!

Eat right, drink right and the exercise will come!

I'll add you as a buddy. Have a read at my transformation story for my results so far. Good luck!

Hi, Merk
I read your story and it was inspiring in how realistic it sounded.

I just completed the first workout and I say this with a grain of salt so it is not misinterpreted, but, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I don't mean it was easy, but was expecting worse. By the last 15 minutes I had lost about all form and felt like resting after each interval, but I just did what I could and didn't beat myself up over. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Great job! When you say the first workout, do you mean the Fit Test? Or Plyometric Cardio Circuit? Always start with the Fit Test first and track your results cos when you come to repeat the Fit Test, you'll see that you'll punch out more reps on each exercise!

And you're doing the right thing, just doing as much as you can with correct form. You'll find you'll be able to do more as each DVD passes! Well done!

There is a thread at the link below which is a support group I'm attached today. Everyone on there is really supportive, particularly my Coach, Coach Chris (http://www.teambeachbody.com/member/sn/YourCoachChris). He leads the thread and as my Coach, I can safely say he is very motivational, encouraging and certainly holds you accountable to get the results you want! If you don't have a Coach as of yet, then I would ask him. He'll be more than happy to help!

Hopefully I'll see you at the thread below!

Congratulations on starting Insanity! Insanity will definitely help you get fit and healthy in the new year. I would suggest you get with a good support group to help keep you motivated and on track for entire 60+ days. I'll send you a link to my thread if you are interested.

Thanks for the links and by first workout, I meant ploy-cardio. I did the fit test the day before.
Greg, you can post your link as well. Thanks!

Glad you started!!! Congrats!
I just finished month 3 and it is STILL hard!! But I keep going.
Keep on keepin' on.
I added Shakeology this month and I think it is helping my muscle recovery. First round I could hardly walk some days.. still sore but not nearly as bad. Plus I walk the dogs afterwards to help my muscles cool down too.
