Uh, I stuck to my roots for today ad did Insanity Plyo Cardio. Will be starting Combat after the first of the year, but have done a couple of the workouts. Definitely gonna love me some combat.

May I join? I started Combat on the 15th and am loving it so far! I ordered the Ultimate package but am doing the basic rotation so far, so today is a rest day. My legs are sore, but nowhere near like my back and shoulders are! But I am so totally in love with these workouts and can't wait to go again tomorrow (although it's plyo, so I might change my mind later!)

Plyo isn't so bad... I think. ;)

I'm doing the Ultimate. Have you tried the strength and stretch yet? It's awesome!

Not yet! I haven't worked out in a couple of weeks (the flu went through our house after Thanksgiving, then my uncle passed away, then we had a big upgrade at work--I work in IT), so I thought for at least the first week I would stick with the basic schedule and then adjust from there. Is that workout more like a yoga/stretch workout or does it include strength training, too?

To introduce myself--I've worked out for years and bought Pump last year and loved it, although I have yet to make it through a full round of Pump (I usually add in other things, so I haven't done 90 days of just Pump). I bought RevAbs when it was on sale for $30 and threw some of those workouts in, which I loved as well. Combat is what I'm REALLY loving, though, and I am determined to make it through 60 days (even if I end up adjusting up to a different schedule through that 60 days--I'm committing to a full 60!)

Otherwise, I've been married for 15 1/2 years, we have one 10 year old son who is in 4th grade, and I work full-time for a local city in their IT department. I'm PTA president of my son's school this year (which will be a one-year only stint, this is not my thing!) and do as much volunteering at his school as he can. I also am a very avid reader and our family is very into sports--Luke has started playing some sports and has gotten interested in watching them, as well!

I'm a single mom of a 13 year old. I'm going to graduate school at Capella and will be getting my MBA in February. I have done CLX, TurboFire, P90X, and a Plus hybrid. I have Rockin' Body and RevAbs and do them as supplement on occasion.

It's an active yoga, lots of burn in your legs. Many Kata moves... Definitely feeling it.

I am in!!!

I just ordered combat last night. I am hoping to start on Dec 28th. My DS12 will be doing the program with me. He actually picked it out. We have done Power90 prior to this. We did not make it the whole 90 days. We got really really bored with that program. We knew everything Tony would say and say it with him as we worked out. I am hoping that combat has enough different dvd's so it will keep us interested. Also I think doing 60 days instead of doing 90 days (Power90 Program) will help keep us on track too.

Alittle about me:

I am 32 year old wife and mother. I have two son's DS14 and DS12. I work full time (10 hour days) at a desk job. I am currently doing Weight Watchers and have lost 27 lbs since 7/5/12. Losing the weight is great but I really want to be able to "be fit" also. My current goal is be able to learn to water-ski this coming summer 2013. DH said he would teach me. He said I would need to be able to hold myself up to learn to ski. I know to be able to hold myself up I would have to drop some weight and I needed to also be able to have more muscle strength in my arms and legs.

It's nice to join this group. I hope to be sweating with you all shortly!

Welcome! Congrats on your weight loss. What a fun goal! I never been water skiing, and I used to live in FL. LOL I think you'll like this one. The workouts are short (even at ultimate, I haven't done more than an hour) and intense. I'm on Day 5 and love it. emoticon I think you DS12 will like it. My daughter does TF workouts from time to time. Good to get them moving at an early age.

Can I join in? Iam a vet of all the P90X and Insanity programs. I will be 64 in March.

Well I guess the Mayans were wrong. I still don't know why people believed that stuff from a civilization that allowed itself to be conquered by two Spaniards on horseback, oh well.

I started Combat this morning with the 30 minute kata workout. It was fun. My kicking needs major improvement but what the heck. These programs are all about improvement over time.

I am home for the next two weeks. After that I might have to juggle the normal schedule because if the workout requires dumbbells I have to do it on friday, saturday or sunday when I am home (or very very early monday morning).

Anyway, after one day I am pleased with Combat and if I can get my eating back in order I am hoping to lose some body fat and improve overall fitness.

I will let you know how the other workouts go. Tomorrow is HIIT Power. I have previewed it and it looks like a challenging cardio-dumbbell workout ala Ayslum Strength or Upper Elite.

Sara, I have found that the jump-kick moves are pointing out my lack of coordination, big time! I'm glad no one watches me do any of these!
