obliques and mid abs
obliques and mid abs

Hi everyone out there. I have been doing beachbody workouts now for over a year and have gotten some amazing results. My arms have gotten huge, my pecks are much more firm and my shoulders are stronger than ever. However, I still have one problem area I cant seem to tone up. The dreaded midsection, mainly the mid abs and obliques. Does anyone out there have any suggestions out there to help me. I feel my abs are very strong but just have that layer of fat around them I just can't shed. I eat very healthy with very little fat in my diet.I do ab ripper X along with body beast. I also incorporate some insanity workouts on the weekends. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks to all of you and good luck with your workouts.

Hi Mark,

It looks like you are doing well. The abs are often the hardest. Nutrition is key. What are you eating? I find adding good fats helps. Have you ever had a 6 pack? it not fair lol but there are some genetics that play a part.

I find planks are great for the abs. How long have you been trying to the ab results you want?

Cheers,
Christina

Hey thanks for the reply. I feel my nutrition isn't all that bad. For instance, i eat egg whites for breakfast along with a turkey sausage on a whole grain english muffin and one slice of cheese. I workout at around 9:00 everyday and eat a cliff protein bar and a protein shake when I'm done. For lunch, I eat some sort of healthy lean lunch meat along with a greek yogurt and maybe lowfat string cheese. Usually an apple for desert. At night, my wife will cook vegetables along with some sort of lean meat. I try hard not to eat after 6pm. Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know but that is a typical day. I have never had a six pack before and that is why this is frustrating. I feel like I'm really close. Just cant seem to get over that hump. Thanks for your help. I really like planks too. I will try to incorporate those more into my routine. I'll never quit trying though. Thanks again.
