Don't change your diet yet. You are already eating at a 500 calorie deficit, probably, so there's plenty of room for you to take a break without gaining.
I recommend icing and heat, and gentle stretches while lying on your back or side. Do NOT try doing things like touching your toes, crunches, etc.
And, yes, get it looked at if this continues.

Hi,
I've been doing the slim in 6 programme and it's my fourth week. This morning i was sitting cross-legged and as I bent forward I had a muscular spasm in my lower back. This has knocked me for six! I can't see myself doing the ramp it up exercises the next two days. Should I go back to start it up? Also, as I'm not exercising today (or tomorrow) should I cut down on my food as I won't be burning any calories. Can I cut out my evening meal for the next two days until I start back on the exercises (hopefully my body won't kick into starvation mode). Any advice would be gratefully received.
