Insanity: When did YOUR fat loss kick in?
Insanity: When did YOUR fat loss kick in?
fat loss plateau 1 month results 14 days insanity.

Hey all!

I'm currently 2 weeks into Insanity, perfect attendance and clean eating (Modified meal plan I used in P90x)

Though I'm toning up and hardening up fast, and have seen a dip in my weight (not that that means too much) I'm just not yet seeing any FAT loss. Or I haven't noticed it.

Diet:
1.) Protein shake
2.) Shakeology + Peanut butter, Almond milk, banana
3.) Bagel (bleached...), turkey/Blck Frst Ham, 2oz cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes
4.) 6oz low fat yogurt, 3 clementines (cuties!)
5.) 4 eggs, green beans, corn Or potato, small pat of butter

See anything sticking out in my diet? I'm 5'7", 176pds, male, looking to go down to 165-160.

***Any advice is appreciated.***

*****SO, my question is, Insanity-ers, when did YOUR fat loss/results kick in?*****

Some days I don't eat all of the food, so between 2200-2400
(Meal plan made on p90x, with all of the tools, although I didn't burn much fat on it..)

I'm also 19% body fat

2200-2400 is a good number for you as long as you are reaching those numbers. Insanity is stupid intense and your body needs enough good calories to sustain the energy level needed in Insanity.

I like most of the things on your list but not sure if they would add up to 2400. If they do, great. I'd advise adding some vegis and additional fruit like apples and strawberries. Good fats like almonds and avocados are great also for bumping up calories.

If you are toning up and hardening fast with weight loss, then there is fat loss. Like you said, you just have not noticed it yet. I bet if you calipered and/or photoed yourself two weeks ago you would see a change. Remember, we look at ourselves in the mirror all day (especially after a DNA dropping Insanity workout). Because of this, we don's notice little changes. That is where the long term comes into place.

You are doing great so keep it up. Oh, and most people see the most results about week 6 or 7.

Take care and reach out if you need anything.

Thanks! Yes, last I calculated on Loseit.com, it was 2400, but I modified it heavily since then to what it is now. I also usually have almonds with my shakeology.

Today, on the 7th day of week 2, I suddenly noticed a dip on the fat on my stomach, which is great! Like you said, long term...

I'm a 3x Insanity grad, 2x Asylum grad, certified trainer and nutritionist. Here is what I would recommend. UP your protein intake by about 50 grams daily and reduce the same amount in carbs. Up your water intake to at least 1 gallon per day. Drink your Shakeology as your last meal of the NO LATER than 7pm. Do your workouts first thing on an empty stomach. Also consider drinking p90x results and recovery formula right after your workouts. If you make these changes. You'll be very pleased.
