How to make up missed week of Ab Ripper X?
Hi everyone,

so unfortunately 3-4 weeks ago, I had a small muscle strain around hip/groin area, but it has recovered, so yay! Unfortunately, I'm dealing with another very minor injury around the foot, so I'm taking a week off as it is recovering well. I realized, the things I can do are upper body workout only, but I'd rather rest and then come back and continue my schedule.

However, during the muscle strain injury, I skipped Ab Ripper X. Now that I'm "taking the week off," how do I make up Ab Ripper X? My friend recommended me to do an Upward Dog stretch before, but I need more tips on doing other ones.

Any kind of help is appreciated, thanks!

I wouldn't try to "make up" for the lost days, just keep doing AbRipperX on the P90X schedule. Remember abs is just like any other muscle.

are you saying it's best to just rest until Friday and then continue?

otherwise, I meant doing Ab Ripper X for days that I couldn't get a chance to do the routine.

I would wait until you are fully recovered, especially with a groin injury, but it sounds like you are. Ab Ripper X works your abs primarily, but many other muscles make up the kinetic chain so you can do those ab exercises such as your lower back, hip flexors and most of your upper leg muscles. Thus, you wouldn't want to just feel ok, do Ab Ripper again and reinjure yourself! I would just continue with the program, you can always make up for the lost week at the end by just doing an extra week of P90X.

Well, my groin muscle is fine now. It's the foot that I'm resting, but if it's best to just take week off and fully recover until Friday to continue, then I guess I can do that!
