When to do final fit test and measurements
When to do final fit test and measurements
fit test measurement time

Just a quick question to see if anyone has advice on the best time to do the final fit test and measurements? I just finished P90X (for the first time) yesterday! The Fitness Guide says to wait one more week (one more recovery week) before doing measurements and the fit test. Is it another week of the recovery workouts (if so, why not just have 14 weeks instead of 13...I guess it would then be P97X), or is it a week of just simply recovering without doing much else? Thanks.

Its a recovery week, like taking a break from your normal routine and doing something much less vigorous. I did my final fit test 3 days after my last workout, when I felt that I had recovered from the last week. I then gave it another two weeks before I started my next program.

Any other questions, let me know!

Thanks Marc. Appreciate the input. I'll try to knock out the measurements and fit test today or tomorrow. Gotta get it done before the holidays (treats) catch up with me. I plan to take a couple weeks to do some different stuff (biking, running, other yoga, etc.), and then maybe take another shot at P90X. I looked at P90X2, but want to be a little more prepared before I take it on. I was happy with P90X, but think I can get more out of it. Just need to tolerate hearing the same comments over and over again. :-)

Thanks again. - Mike
