fat loss weight lifiting after insanity

So i just finished my 2nd round of insanity. After the first round i was thinking about starting to weight lift again, but decided to do insanity again. Now, I'm at the same situation. I think over winter break, which is from now until january 4th, I'm just going to do insanity on some days, but not really follow the schedule. Then, when school starts again idk what to do. I was thinking about starting to lift weights, but I don't have a lot of time to spend a total of 1.5-2 hours driving to the gym, working out, then coming back during school. Thats a big reason i started insanity because it was a max of an hour. When summer starts i will definitly be lifting weights while still doing some insanity workouts for cardio. but until then, (which is like 5 months), I'm not sure what to do. I'm really not motivated enough to do insanity again for 6x a week. But I was thinking of doing it 3-4 times a week, then the other days do some light exercise. My goal is to lose fat and get leaner. I'm 16, 5'9", and around 179 lbs. What do you think i should do?

Body Beast from friend! 30 min to 1 hours workout of weight lifting.

I love this program, if you can afford to buy a set of adjustable dumbells and a ez curl bar with a bench you are all set. The workouts are not too long and if you wanna gain muscle mass that is the program you want.

If you look at it the price for a gym membership will pay for your dumbells. Let me know if you wanna know more about the Body Beast program.

I suggest you do what I did, create a hybrid Insanity/P90X program for yourself. I am almost finished with the one I started back in mid-October. By creating my own program I was able to take the best of both programs and add some gym workouts (weights/cardio) to get the personalized results I wanted. One note about P90X, if you have any shoulder issues think twice before even trying it.

I would suggest P90X! I love that program and have gotten great results from it. All depends on your goals and aspirations.

As suggested, P90X would be a good compliment! Or what you could do is even Les Mills Pump! 3 days of lifting a week which focuses on using the barbell and lower weights with very high reps which will Lean you out (if that's your goal!), and its around 22-55 min. per workout! You could even mix in Insanity on the walk days to improve the results even more!
