For a bit of insight into me I am 36 years old and about 234lbs. I have a steady fitness level not particularly quick but I prefer the long steady endurance type events to short quick sprints.
I am in my first week of INSANITY and I am fully committed to finish the program. I wear a heart rate monitor during the training to see how I am working. The problem is my max hr is always met at the end of the warm up, and I seem to slowly decrease as the training goes on. I do recuperate fairly quickly from 180 / 170 bpm back to 140 ish during the water breaks. I was hoping my endurance would see me through until the fitness catches up a bit.
Although my hr goes down during the training my perceived level of effort is higher. What I want to achieve is that 180+ for the duration of the exercise (less water breaks) without having to taper my efforts near the end. I have a Garmin file showing the work outs I just don't know how to link them for someone to look at. I hope you can see this
