Missed Insanity workout- how to proceed?
Hi! I'm praying to get the right motivation here to finish Insanity. My problem is that I have a hard time sticking to the schedule. If you miss a day, do you do the next work out based on the schedule or do you start where you left off? Or should I go back to Day1 every time I miss a work out?

Hi! Congrats on starting Insanity! Motivation is tough at times. Have you posted the schedule where you see it everyday? Thought about Why you are doing it and posted that it wrote it down. It sounds weird but writing down makes a difference.

I would do the next workout in the list if you just missed one. If you missed a lot in a row I would restart that week.

What is your goal with Insanity? How far have you gotten?

I would love for you to join us at our support & motivation thread!

I'd just make it up quickly and move on. I did that after missing one the other day, 2 insanitys' in one day, it was tiring, and the next days workout was harder, but the day after that I felt back to normal with the added reward that I had made it up which relieved the feeling of failure that I had missed one.

As a one off, I dont see working out for 1.5 - 2 hrs in one day as something to worry about, in the Extreme Makeover Weightloss Edition show there are people who weigh between 4-700lb's working out for 4 hrs a day !...such an inspiration eh !...I think to myself: "If they can do it.."

Only as a one off though, when I did Insanity the first time round, on the 2nd month, I was chasing my tail nearly every week to make up for lost work outs. I had one day when I squeezed 3 in, and it really took some of the joy out of it and made life feel very stressful having to work around my Insanity "catch up" time table. I think perhaps in that instance, I should have started the week over....but I would have definitely needed to consult a coach for support and encouragement to help me get my head around doing it, because my inclination is to squeeze them all into one day...which perhaps on that occasion, wasnt a good idea.

Hope you find a way to get back on track that you feel good about. The point is, you -want- to which means your heart is in it, dont beat yourself up too much about it and keep pushing play.

All the best
