Hello Group,

I have never gotten on a message board before, but I hope that this helps me stay with the program. I am a 27 y.o female. 5'4" and 195. I recently finished school (again) which assisted with my weight gain. I am definitely the linchpin of my family which keeps me busy all the time. I love to try new things (hence insanity). Even when I was at my healthiest weight, I was 5'4", 150lbs, with <10% body fat.I was an athlete all through high school and college. With running track, I was more "cut-up" than I would have liked. My parents and siblings are muscular, so I learned early on not to trust the scale b/c of my genetically muscular build. In college, I had the "bright" idea to break down my muscle and let it somewhat degrade into fat, and then rebuild it to look more lean and feminine. Instead, the weight kept piling on. After my first degree,I completed P90X and was pleased with my results, but I know it could have went better had I adhered to the diet regimen. Now, I am ready to conquer insanity and hope to see amazing results. I wanted to try something different and see if I could remain focused on the program if I had a support base and was held more accountable. I am no where close to being in the shape that I use to be in, but I would love to get back there. I feel that my life and career are evolving and changing and I would like my health to follow suite.

My biggest obstacle will be food. I love to try new dishes and I really like to cook for friends and family, especially baking. I know that conquering the diet portion, is pivotal to the success of any workout program, so I will need to be very weary of this. I look forward to this challenge will do my best to be successful.

Awesome job completing P90X already and now starting Insanity! You are on the track, and as you know it's important to keep going and not be a '1 and done'. The message boards are a great place to find support and motivation and it's important to find the right group of people to help you. You are welcome to come join my support thread and workout group. Just come and post and introduce yourself.
