Hey everyone,

I'll be starting a new round of Body Beast Dec. 31. I just finished Insanity:Asylum Vol.1 on Christmas day. I used Asylum as my cutting program from my previous round of Beast.

This round I'll be doing the Lean schedule and eating approximately 4000 calories a day.

If anyone would like to join in, feel free!

Thanks!

My first round of Beast I gained 6 lbs of muscle eating 3500 calories a day. It's pretty hard for me to gain weight, so I'm very curious to see how things go by bumping it up.

Are you doing the Lean or Huge schedule?

Hey congrats on finishing X2! I'm going to do that one again in the summer. I completed a round of that last winter/spring.

Do you know if you're going to do the Lean or Huge schedule? Have you figured out your caloric needs yet?

I am planning on starting tomorrow....still need to decide between lean or huge. I do have some fat to lose but I am leaning towards the huge option and doing the Insanity Fast and Furious 20 minute workout a few times a week.

Hi herricrm!
I did the huge schedule for my first round. I did miss doing some cardio, which is why I'm doing the lean routine this time. It includes a day of beast cardio each week, and its pretty intense. Welcome aboard!

I'm in. I'm starting on Monday and will be doing Lean Beast.

41, 197 pounds, 20% BF. I only calculate around 2,700 calories probably because I need to lower my BF by several points.

I've completed 2 Rounds of P90X, Ultimate Reset and Insanity.

Looking to gain muscle so that I can increase my metabolism and just need to build a solid muscle base.

Looking forward to it.

Kylerooke - welcome aboard! Looks like we'll be on the same schedule. You will certainly lose fat doing the Beast at 2700 calories. It sounds like you already have the right idea..gain some muscle to increase your metabolism. Calories will be burning around the clock with all the muscle tissue repair we'll be experiencing

getinshape89 - The huge schedule was fun! The Bulk phase was great because it was basically 6 weeks of workouts that were only about 35~40 minutes.

Alright, so Monday starts Body Beast and my 4000 calorie (50% carb, 25% protein, 25% fat) a day diet for gaining muscle mass. Today I'll be giving it a run and tracking it on myfitnesspal to see how it goes. This morning starts with Nate's Beast Breakfast Shake:

1 scoop chocolate shakeology
1 scoop optimum nutrition whey protein powder
1 cup 2% milk
1/4 cup organic steel cut oats
1 Tbsp Natural peanut butter
1 tsp creatine monohydrate

657 calories
64 grams carbohydrate
19 grams fat
59 grams protein
13 grams fiber

Hey timeforchange1984! Welcome aboard.

That sounds like a pretty good hybrid. I was close to your age as well when I was diagnosed with depression. Exercise and eating right have done more for me than the meds ever could. I will be glad to offer some support along the way!
