Medicine Ball Question
Medicine Ball Question

I couldnt find any used medicine balls so I bought new ones which were extremely expensive, they seemed small in the box until I realized youre supposed to air in them, I was always under the impression medicine balls were solid, this is just like a basketball with sand in it shifting from side to side, is this right?

Hi-

My experience with medicine balls is that they have been solid. I've used basketballs for pushup exercises like the ones in P90X2 and I found that you have to pump them up often because unless they're hard, they tend to have less stability, so just be mindful of that with yours! If you have any other questions, feel free to give me a shout. Good luck and keep bringing it!!!

well it's solid on the outside but it's like theres an 8lb bag of sand sloshing around inside, i don't know how to better explain it other than if you went to roll it, it would roll almost end over end (lopsided) because the weight inside isn't solid, it's like its meant to move around and be unstable, I thought medicine balls were basically a basketball sized 8, 10, 12lb weight not a basketball with an 8lb weight inside falling side to side

Hmmm....I have never heard of this happening. I checked around and neither has anyone else. I think there might be some sort of malfunction with the medicine ball. I would discontinue the use, so you don't get hurt and return the product for a refund if you can. Don't let it stop you though--keep after it!!!
