Need recommendations for shoes
Need recommendations for shoes

I have been wearing Reebok Flex shoes for a few months now. Although they feel fine when I run in them (usually 5-10K), they hurt my feet really badly when I do my Insanity workouts, especially Asylum volume 2 ones. I always start out wearing the shoes but the pain gets so bad that I have to take them off to get through the workouts. I have tried wearing them with and without socks, tightening and loosening them, etc, but nothing seems to make the pain go away. Does anyone else have similar problems with shoes? Do you have any recommendations for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had similar problems when I did Insanity. What I ended up doing was googling "best cross training shoes". It seemed that New Balance had somewhat of a corner on the market and I went to a New Balance store to purchase a comfortable pair. The thing that I found frustrating about cross trainers is that alot of them seem to be made so that you can run in them. I found that Insanity and TurboFire were intense enough that I searched out the stiffest crosstrainer I could find with very little flexibility side to side. I love it! It may not be the best looking shoe but I was going for function.
Hope that helps!

Hi..I am a runner also and have 'gone over' to barefoot running (but wearing shoes)...I love the Merrell Road Gloves and they seem to be just fine for prancing about the place whilst doing Insanity I also have a pair I use for martial arts and they are just fine too.

Horses for course...

Cheers
Dave.

Hi! I run as well and I love BROOKS! I use them for all of my workouts. Definitely try them out!

Good Luck!

I found basketball shoes to work the best for me. There is also a line of women's shoes called RYKA's that are made for court action. Look for the High-impact studio shoes .
