Hi there,

I just finished up another round of my modified starting strength program and I'm looking into Bodybeast. I know its probably not as optimal as starting strength is and doesn't lift as heavy but I was wondering if I could still try Bodybeast even though I only have an olympic weight set, some low 20lb dumbbells and one 30lb dumbbell. I only use a straight bar as the ez curl is only needed for bicep peak which I can get the same effect from my preacher curl attachment. I also have a bench to use.

Thank you for your answers have a great day

I love Bodybeast and have had great results. You don't need a lot of weight. It's dropsets, supersets etc. My heaviest weights are 25's and I don't have a ez curl bar. I use all dumbbells and a bench. It's an awesome workout and you will be sore in the end You can use a straight bar if you want too. Hope this helps and good luck emoticon

I really enjoy the beast workout.I am on my final week. You may be ok for the first few workouts but for the back and chest your going to need heavier dumbbells.

I hope your Body Beast Challenge is going well. I only have weights from 3 lbs to 35 lbs but I still find it challenging especially in the Bulk phase with all of the progressive sets you need to do.

When I used work out at the gym, i could incline chest press with maybe 55lbs, but with this program i don't think i need to or be able to go that high anyways.

But for me, i decided to do Body Beast not to really bulk up, but I got bored with the 3 P90X programs and needed a change. I dislike cardio so I completely skipped insanity.
