Hi everyone. I'm kinda new here, haven't talked with anyone or anything, just log my workouts lol.. but i just finished TurboFire 5 day inferno plan, well, i only did 4 days because i worked last night, didn't sleep yesterday and only 3 hrs today. :/ ... anywho, i've lost 4lbs, i'm ok with that.. BUT i've only lost a TOTAL of 2.5 inches all around! And 0 in my stomach which i thought for sure, to me, was starting to look more fit? IDK.. Is this typical results for 4-5 days ?? I totally plan on committing to the full 90 days, just a little down at the moment. My diet has been right on with the book, substituting certain days if i didn't have the food needed for that day. Please share your thoughts emoticon Thanks a billion!!!

Step away from the ledge and listen to yourself:

4 lbs
2.5 inches
in ONLY 4 days

That is great.

Getting unfit does not happen overnight and neither does getting fit. You got this.

A bit of advice. Only weigh and measure only every few weeks. Your body does strange things day to day. You can actually gain and lose 3-4 lbs of water a day so it is the long term measurables that count.

Find a good workout group here on BB or on FB. Daily accountability, motivation and advice is huge for your success. I run a group here on BB and a few on FB. I buddied you so message me and let me know if you are interested and I'll pass you the links.

Keep up the intensity.

Hi
WOW great job on the weight loss.
One thing you REALLY need to keep in mind and understand is that your overall outcome is directly related to your nutrition.
Ever heard the saying "abs are made in the kitchen" ???
Couldn't be more true !!!

It's like this (short version)
Working out is great - you are burning calories.
Especially with TF - the high intensity keeps you burning calories long after the actual workout (thus burning off fat).

Here is the key though. YOU MUST EAT (properly & on schedule) to continue to burn fat !!!
The key to burning fat and building muscle is to feed your body the proper nutrients constantly. The reason is to keep your metabolism up and running constantly.
If you skip a meal or a snack your body releases hormones and triggers you to "feel hungy" thus causing you to go in "fat storing mode"

Eat and follow your nutrition guide!!!!!
You will be Quite pleased in the end.

Hey Sandi,

The most truthful thing I can tell you is that your results are rocking!

Typically you wont see those "infomercial" results until day 75+ because the longer you sustain a healthy eating and exercise plan, the more fit you become. Alot of people may be turned away by that statement but you show that you can see some pretty sweet results very quickly. Given patience and time, you wont even recognize yourself after 90 days!

Following the nutrition guide that comes with any program is honestly more important than the workouts themselves. I've heard nutrition is 80% of any given program but i honestly think its more like 85%-90% and im living proof. The first time i attempted P90X, I just ate whatever was on the table and i saw practically no results after 55 days so i just stopped. The second time, i ate clean but not perfectly so i did see some good results by day 60 but again i gave up because i allured to garbage like cookies and ice cream. Now that im drinking Shakeology every day, i dont have any cravings and im also following the guide to the letter and i can already see changes after one week =)

If you make substitutions for meals i would suggest you plug into My Fitness Pal, I use it all the time to make sure im eating the way im supossed to.

Give the program time and trust it, don't focus on numbers so early into it.

Happy New Year!!
Darrick

Thank you everyone for your great advice!! I'm going to continue eating right, i'm not a huge fan of sweets anyway lol.. And of course continue the exercise program.. Its a blast to do! I know that i shouldn't weigh myself often and all that, but that was the 5 day inferno plan and i was kind of excited to see where i was. It definately wasn't the 10lb 10 inches that was possible and i'm not sure how people get that, as i did EVERYTHING by the book and i work out pretty intensely. I'm gonna join the groups that you suggested above, so i'll email you right... now emoticon Thanks again everyone!!!!! emoticon

Generally the people who lose a ton of weight in a short amount of time like that are very, very out of shape, obese people who have never really dieted or exercised before. And often it is a lot of water weight.

Your results are very good though and you should be proud, you are definitely on the right track, just keep at it!
