This is for anyone who wants to start TMT for the new year. Feel free to share success stories, horror stories (hopefully none) and encouragement.

I started a day early with TMT Cardio as a warm-up for my usual routine, and must say it was more intense than I had thought. I don't know why I was expecting a walk in the park or a leisurely stroll, guess I mistakenly compared 10 minutes to the 60 or so I do with Body Beast each day.

Finished Total Body today, and it was a very good workout to complement Body Beast and Tai Cheng. I'm enjoying the warmup that TMT is giving me each day. Now if I can work on the nutrition side a little better.

Hello. I'm going to be incorporating TMT in with a variety of other workouts because I tend to get bored quickly. I am looking for the encouragement though to keep going, so if you're wanting to help keep each other accountable, I'm in. I'm starting 1/2/13. Will be taking measurements and weight. Lets push play and maybe others will join our group!

Hello again. Well I have my starting measurements and my starting weight. I don't like the numbers. I currently lost 72 pounds within the last 1 1/2 years. However I decided to take the rest of the year of when I went on vacation December 17. In that time frame, I ended up gaining 8 1/2 pounds back. To be honest, I ate whatever I wanted and didn't exercise that entire time. But I'm here now and I'm ready to get back on track. I have 45 more pounds to lose so I will be here for awhile! How much do you want to lose?

Hi Cortnie and Welcome!

I dropped 34 pounds using Power90 this summer, but then I fell back into bad habits and put 12 back on in the last couple of months, so I'm looking to shed those and drop about 35 more. I'm using TMT as my warmup in the morning with a round of Body Beast and Tai Cheng in the evenings. I figured I can build some muscle from the fat and use Tai to help with flexibility and mobility.

Let's work together (along with anyone else that might read this and want to join in) and shred those pounds!

Second time around doing Total Body today wasn't as bad as the first time. To anyone planning on doing TMT, I highly highly recommend watching the DVD first before attempting, just to learn the moves. There's not as much time in between moves to see how to do it (of course since it's only 10 minutes) so advanced knowledge is key.

Well I've tried this week to get back into the swing of things after taking time off for the holidays and it's HARD!! I'm really struggling to get back into the right mindset. So I'm going to take the weekend and just slowly ease back into it and then star back 100% on Monday. I've been on vacation from work and so my schedule is all messed up right now. Monday will start back to my normal schedule. I plan on starting the exercising then too. I've always struggled with keeping up the exercising. I'm one of those people that strive to be perfect or nothing at all. I know that isn't the right mindset to have. So I will be back Monday ready to go! I definitely plan on starting TMT then as well. Any help on how to get into the mindset again?

I think you've identified the first thing I'd recommend, and that's the perfection mindset. As someone who has that same issue, I had to realize I'm not competing with anyone except myself. The people in the videos have been doing this forever which is why it looks so easy to them. You have to just do your best each and every day and the results will come. The main thing is like Nike says, Just Do It! Even if you only do 10 minutes one day, you're already better off than all of those people who are sitting on the couch, eating Cheetos and wondering who's next to be "America's Idol Survivor Will You Accept this Rose" person. (P.S. - I hate reality TV and bash it frequently, haha).

The other piece of advice I'd offer is to not get frustrated if you don't see quick results. For me, I did not get out of shape and overweight in a day. Therefore, I'm not going to get back in shape and looking like the cover of Men's Health magazine in a day. It's going to take time, and you have to be willing to commit the time to make the change. Let's face it, we've both been down the road of not exercising, eating the wrong things and having a poor outlook on life, and we see where that's gotten us. Personally, I'm getting off of that road and on to the one of exercise, proper nutrition and feeling better. Plenty of room on this highway, so come join me!

How did things go today? I did Cardio today and followed it up with Body Beast Build Legs. Fortunately I can still walk because that's a rough workout.

Hello. Thanks for your encouragement and words of wisdom. I know that doing it the right way is the way it's going to stay off and that's why I'm not after any quick fixes. I started back on track yesterday (Monday) with a starting weight of 184. I'm a scale addict! I like to know what the scale is doing at all times, which isn't always a good thing because I see every up and down. So I'm trying to make that change and only step on the scale once a week. So Monday is that day!

Today I started the workouts. I did Day 1 of TMT (lower body). It was rough because I haven't exercised in 3 weeks, but I feel good! I then did 100 steps on my new stepper that I just got for Christmas. That only took me 2:48, but it's added cardio, which will help in the long run.

My diet has been spot on yesterday and so far today. Hopefully with the exercise, it will keep me on the right path there, because I don't like exercising enough to do it for nothing... I want to see results!

After taking a few weeks off, I feel like a beginner again even though I've been on this serious weight loss path for almost a year and a half now. I just feel like my endurance should be at a higher level for how much weight I have lost so far. Thanks for posting here and helping!

I'm in! I read all your posts and it seems like we are all in the same ball park of weight to loose. I HAVE to loose at least 30 lbs. I am 165lb right now, heaviest I've ever been. I am comfortable and confident at 135lbs.

2 goals:
1.) Wedding Dress
2.) Bathing Suit

Bonus Goal:
** GORGEOUS ABS**

My goal is by the time we open are pool.... end May/June.

Today is day 1. I pushed play! I did Total Body/Lower Body/ABs. I'm doing the 2 day challenge to start it off. Other than that I will not be following this diet, but the Wheat Belly by. Dr. Davis. Very very very interesting. I learned about it about 2 years ago and that has helped me identify all of my problems with food and overeating, which actually turns out its only one problem... wheat!! Hopefully with working out, eating right, and support from the people here I will get it done this time.

Welcome aboard MJ!

I've never heard of the Wheat Belly diet, but personally I'm trying to limit gluten in my diet. I don't have a gluten tolerance problem, but I seem to be hearing more and more negative things about it, so figured it needed to go.

I have dual cardio today, a TMT Cardio session this morning and then Body Beast Cardio/Abs tonight.

Good for you on the gluten! There is another polymer in wheat called gliadin which is as bad as gluten. I found that eliminating all wheat is the best for myself. It was definately hard around the holidays and when I fall of the bandwagon.... I fall hard!!! Today I went grocery shopping and feel much better. I've taught myself to shop around the outside walls of grocery stores. This eliminates all the processed junk. Wheat Belly revolves around the same history as the Paleo, if you have ever heard of that. Only major difference is Wheat Belly allows most dairy, Paleo doesn't. I do a combination of both.

Tonight for dinner is a pork roast with mushrooms, carrots, and celery. All thrown in the slow cooker (along with some potatoes for the kids). The house smells amaaazing right now emoticon

Anyways, today I did 2 10 min trainers, yoga and cardio. feels good! I was sore today which made me feel like a total whimp lol. Tomorrow I'm getting a 60min massage, first one ever!!

Today's an off day for my main program (Body Beast) but I'm doing TMT Total Body today along with a nice 30-minute run.

I've definitely heard of the Paleo diet, so at least now I have something to compare Wheat Belly. I'm definitely going to check that out, sounds like something that may work, especially a hybrid of those two.

Off to go see Tony and Gretchen! Have a great Thursday!

Hello! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I'm here today! Welcome MJ! I'm trying to lose 45 pounds by the end of June. I don't know if I have the dedication to achieve that though. On Tuesday, I did lower body TMT and Wednesday morning I was sore. Its hard to believe I can be sore after just a 10 minute video and 10 minutes on the treadmill. I've done alot of treadmill work, so I'm guessing it was mostly the video's fault. It makes pushing play the next day hard, but I guess it has to be if I'm ever going to get over this soreness.

So today was my day off from work and I planned on exercising even longer than I usually do. Unfortunately it didn't happen though. I didn't exercise at all. I got busy doing other things and before I knew it, my day was gone. I'm mad at myself. On a positive note though, my diet was good today.

Tomorrow is my 12 hour day at work. So I'm going to only do 10 minutes on the treadmill and then starting Saturday I'm going to focus more on the exercising. I'm going to try for 30 minutes except on the days that I work 12 hours which is twice a week.

With the facebook group, would it show on my wall what I post in the group? I'm new to that idea.

No, it's a "secret" group using Facebook's terminology, basically meaning it's a private group and only group members would see each other's posts. I want to create and atmosphere where we can all support one another without the whole world seeing it, kind of a "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" mentality.

Off to do TMT Abs for the first time and then Body Beast Shoulders. At least my lower body won't hurt today emoticon

I trust everyone had a good weekend and got some of those TMT workouts knocked out in the process. Today it's TMT Cardio for me and then Body Beast Back/Biceps.

One thing to keep in mind today (and every day) as you workout is your "why". Many times with diets and exercise we frequently use the term "willpower". Well, most of us are here because we have problems with willpower, it ultimately fails us. So today I challenge you instead to come up with your "why-power". Why are you getting in shape? Why do you want to improve your health and fitness?

For me it's simple. I have a wife whom I adore and two small children, ages 6 years and 10 months. I want to be around to grow old with my wife, see my girls graduate high school, college, get married, etc. If I don't take better care of myself, those things won't happen. That's my why.

What is your why?
