Insanity: The Asylum motivation
Insanity: The Asylum motivation
insanity motivation knees knee surgery asylum tone up muscular sprinter body form

Hey guys,
So today I am starting Insanity: The Asylum again. I purchased it about two months when I was still working at the gym in town because I wanted to get back in shape, mainly tone up, and do it fast. I only did two days last time, took a week off, then tried again and only did three. It was too much on my knees (had knee surgery fall of 2011) too quickly, and I couldn't handle how truly insane it was. I am starting again today and just wanted anyone who felt like helping keep me motivated send me a buddy request and help me out. I am mainly doing this program to get back into insane shape and back to my sprinter body form, not for weight loss as I only weigh around 160-165lbs at 5 foot 5-6ish. Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you did!

What's up Justin?

I just finished Asylum: Vol. 1 on Christmas day. I couldn't believe how much my speed & agility improved in just 30 days.

I'll be glad to help you out along the way. I'll send you a buddy request.

Thanks for the request! I'm really looking forward to getting my speed and conditioning back up! I went from running a 4.34 40 and a 49.00 400M dash under two years ago to now not even knowing if I could complete a 400 in under a minute. Feel free to help me out in anyway you want!

Whoa a 4.34 40? Man that's crazy fast..that would make eyes pop at the NFL combine emoticon

My agility was not particularly good after my first round of Body Beast, so Asylum was a perfect program for me to cut from it and gain some athleticism.

So when do you start?

Yes, senior year of high school. Wasn't electronic, but it's still fast even on a hand timer. Probably more around 4.44 or 4.5 electronically.

I started yesterday. Already feeling it in my calves and right knee again, but I'm not going to give up because of a little pain this time.

Good work on grinding through the discomfort already. Be sure to listen to your body though, you don't want to make anything worse.

Hey I have a thread going for support that a lot of folks have jumped into. Right now it's mostly Body Beast people but several of them are Asylum veterans themselves. If you like, feel free to jump in there!
