I am starting the insanity program today with the fitness test. I am wondering if my workout times for each of the day should be at approx. the same time or can they be done anytime during the day.

you can workout anytime of the day but IMO, i found it easiest to stick to a time... that way it's "scheduled" and over time, working out at your designated time will be come a habit so you plan your day around your workout time.

i workout every day at 930am. i know this therefore, i plan my day/errands/stuff i have to do etc around my workout time. i find it much easier to have a predictable, daily routine that incorporates exercise.

Ditto what the above poster said. You can workout whenever, but most of us find it easier and more consistent to not miss a day if we're used to a scheduled time that we plan around.

The best time is the time that you are going to do it. It's not ideal, during the week I workout at night as I already get up at 5:15 for work and I can't get up earlier for that. On the weekend I do it first thing in the morning so it's out of the way and the rest of the day I can devote to family and errands. No time is better than another, just make sure you plan to do it and pick a time you're likely to do it. Do you have a support group? i have the same type of work schedule. do you work out before or after dinner? does it matter?

You can workout any time of day. Experiment and find out what works for you.

I get up real early (5AM) just to go to work, so working out in the morning doesn't work for me. So on work days I workout when I get home at 4 PM. On weekends or any other off days I usually workout mid-morning around 10-11 AM after Ive eaten my first meal of the day and had time for it to settle down. I find that if I try to workout first thing after waking I don't have the energy that I do if I eat a meal first.

Stick to the plan whatever time you decide to do the workouts and you will see an amazing new you!
