Hello! My name is Christopher and I am starting this thread for everyone to come and share their stories, knowledge, questions and to just contribute something in order to help others. The common bond that Beachbody has is the willingness of everyone helping each other. That is what I would like to have here everyone helping each other achieve, and exceed, their goals. This site will not be program specific, but a colaboration of programs. I tend to be an Asylum junkie, but someone else may be into P90X or Chalean Extreme. It matters not. I does matter that you have decided, and are committed, to becoming the best YOU that there is. Team Warrior will do just that with a large group of helpful people all striving to reach goals. We will create our own Bushido- the way of the warrior and a solid mindset to succeed. If you have read my blogs, or have seen other posts, you know that I feel that we are all warriors in life. Whether it's the single Mom trying to juggle kids, work and home, the college student with a full schedule, the family with everything that goes into that it is all a battle to stay on top. Hence the name Team Warrior. I hope that you will decide to come and join the team and be a part of this new thread that I hope will blow up with many warriors working together to create a huge movement of weightloss and fitness! I have created a workout group called Team Warrior! I hope that you all will join and we can have a massive group of people.

A little about me: I am 54 yrs old, married with an 11 yr old boy(mini-me) and a 7 yr old girl(57 pounds of woop ass!) I have been with BB a year and have lost 30 pounds and have kept off 23 pounds. The very first BB program that I ever did was Asylum! My coach thought that I was crazy to start with that. He tried to do the right thing and steer me to an easier program, but I went with my gut instincts and here I am. I have done several rounds of Asylum. I have done Les Mills Pump and Insanity. My weightloss goal is to get under 200 pounds and then down to about 175. At 5'9" tall I think that is a very good place to be.

As of this morning I have started Asylum 2. It will be a fun journey come join me!

I hope that you decide to join Team Warrior and together we can make a differnce! Results happen when we help each other!

Stay strong warriors!

“It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.” ~Zig Ziglar

Happy New Year to all! May the new year bring you love, joy and much success!!!

I am starting the new year in the Asylum! Today is day 2 of Asylum 2 and I will be doing Upper Elite. This is a really cool workout and is turning into one of my favorites so far in this series. As the name implies it involves upper body strength moves.

What are some of your goals for the coming year? For fitness I want to get under 200 pounds and incorporate more vegetarian meals into my diet. Simple and easily obtainable. These are the goals for the first quarter of the year. Near the end of the first quarter I will shift to more of a muscle building goal with Les Mills Pump or P90X2. More on that later.

New year, new thread and a new group. I would like get a group of people together to help motivate, inform and share their experiences, recipes etc... I truely believe that collectively we have a ton of knowledge and experience. I would like to bring all that together in a forum so we may all benefit from that. My workout group is called: Team Warrior! I would like everyone to join no matter what workout you are doing, what age your are, male or female it matters not. Let's just bring it all together and help each other succeed! I hope that you will join me on this journey in 2013.

The link to the workout group is posted below. Thanks and let's have a great, and successful, 2013!

Good morning to all. It is the third day of January and have you started your BB program and adjusted your nutrition? If not, what are you waiting for! This is the best time to get yourself in gear and to get your life in order! It's a new month, a new year and the first quarter. Before you know it summer will be here. Will you still be wearing a one piece suit with a cover up at the beach? A t-shirt to hide the stuff? You need to get started to get to where you want to be and now is the time. Get on board with Team Warrior and let's get this party started!! See you in the gym!

So far so good with the start of the new year. Upper Elite was great! I hit it very hard and I am feeling it in some of the smaller muscles in my upper body. I skipped yesterdays morning workout. My little girl woke up in the middle of the night with a fever. And that's the beauty of Asylum Vol 2 is that you are able to shift workouts and still keep on pace. Today will be Power Legs and I am ready to roll! Time to hit the Warrior gym!! Let's get started together! It is never to late just decide that enough is enough!

Stay strong!

It's never too late to become what you might have been. -George Elliot

Today is the fourth day into January and what are you doing to get this train rolling? Are you still thinking/planning? You need to get started and started now! It is a new year, new month and the begining of the first quarter. Use this momentun to get yourself rolling. It is not too late. Find someone that interests you, motivates you, one that makes you say that if they can do it so can I! And you can! But you will not know until you get started. Find a thread on the message board and post your accountability everyday. Not only will that keep you focused, but you might motivate others by your actions. You can join my workout group and thread or anyone else. Just do it and get the power of momentum rolling for you!

Power Legs was an awsome workout! Trust me it is a killer workout! My legs felt like jello for a long time. ShaunT has you working with bands around your ankles, then you take them off to do the same exercises non stop THEN you start using weights!! It is a fast paced kick your butt kind of workout. Nutrition was hit and miss yesterday, but I will dial it in today. Back and 6 pack abs this morning! Off to the Warrior gym!

Stay strong!

Friday was Back and 6pack and it was a great workout. Today started off with me being a little stiff and sore in spots. Asylum vol 2 is hitting not only the major muscles, but some smaller ones also. Those are the ones that are sore. Off to Championship and OT and it was a killer workout! I loved it though and I was really getting into it even though it is a hard workout. Maybe next week I will not have to think so much and I can get into it even more. Overtime is just what it is intended to be-the detroyer!! It is a series of moves done circuit style. The object is to do as many circuits possible in two minute. I did five my first time out and I am happy with that. The people in the video total circuits ranged from 7-9. I know have something to build on. Have a great weekend!!

Stay strong!

If you have not started now is the time. Do not wait any longer! Now is the time! Join up with me, and Team Warrior, and we can help each other get the results we want.

Good morning to all! I think that this quote says it all and it is exactly what ShaunT is getting us to do. Whether it is Insanity, Asylum Vol 1 or 2 he has us doing some crazy stuff in order to help us change our body composition. It is also a reminder to push ourselves in every workout to get farther than before. Whether is is one more rep, faster feet through the ladder or one more minute farther into the workout push yourself. And don't forget your nutrition. Eating 5-6 smaller meals, with a healthy balance of protein, carbs and fat, will get you to your goals faster, and better, than just workout out alone.

I am feeling much stronger this week and I am down about an inch between my chest, waist and hips. X Trainer was yesterday and I am already noticing an improvement in the moves from week 1. I am ready to rock Upper Elite today! My nutrition has been a little off, but I have been implementing some changes to help me get more consistancy in my food choices. More about that another time. Time to get ready for the Warrior Gym.

Stay strong!

Good morning to all! We are nine days into the new year! How are you doing on your fitness plans/goals? I hope that you are taking advantage of the power of momentum and really getting a good jump on getting healthier. If you have started great! If not, it is not too late. Decide now and get into a program.

I rocked through Upper Elite yesterday. I felt strong, and powerful, through most of the moves. I used a 40# band and that was challenging. I do need to get more DB's. Today is Power Legs and I know that it will be a good workout!

Stay strong!

"Strive for progress, not perfection." -Unknown

Good morning all! Coming up on the end of the first two weeks of the new year! How is everyone doing with their programs and goals? You should be seeing/feeling the effects of your efforts by now. That is, if you are putting the energy into your workouts, pushing play every day, eating clean 80% of the time. If you are just starting out on your fitness journey ask questions, ask for help, and look for support. Hop onto message boards and find a fitness group to join. Believe me it all really does help. If you don't know how to do this ask me and I can help guide you. We will all get their one day at a time, one step at a time and one pound at a time!

On Wednesday I did Power legs and oh my oh my! You know that feeling of having rubber legs? Well you get that about half way through the workout, and that is before ShaunT brings out the weights!! If you have done Asylum Vol 1 you know how tough Vertical Plyo is. Well, Power legs is just like VP, but on steroids!! The first couple of times you do it it will destroy you, in a good way!! I took a pass on Thursday's w/o, because I need to sleep in and catch up from the work week. So, I skipped stretching and did Back and 6 pack yesterday. This is a nice, change of pace, workout. It is not as crazy as the others! Speaking of crazy, this morning is Championship and Sudden Death OT!! I am looking to improve my OT circuits by one more circuit. I did five last week and the people in the video do 7 and 8, and one guy even did 9!

A happy weekend to all!!

Stay strong!

Just another Manic Monday! As the song goes so, goes today and this week! We had a crazy busy weekend and now it's back to work. Busy week at work and we start lacrosse practice for my son this week. I will have to really be a good time manager this week.

What are your goals this week? Have you set up your short and long term goals yet? If not, now is a good time. Set small, manageable, goals to help you be successfull and to track your progress. This is week three and you should be well into your programs.

Championship and Sudden Death OT on Saturday was a little brutal. I did struggle to finish and increase the OT fit test to 5 1/2 circuits. Took yesterday off and today I feel good and ready to start the week off strong!

Stay strong!

A quick check in: X Trainer, yesterday, was very hard to do. It felt like it was the first time doing it. Weird, but I did have a strong workout that kicked my butt. It could be low energy levels, recouping from the weekend workout, etc... I have been, slowly, changing up my nutrition to get to, primarily, a plant based diet. I have switched my protein to a vegan based one and I am incorporating more veggies and grains into my diet. I even have opted for Meatless Mondays, but I still will have my Steak Saturdays when I can! So far, so good. I am looking to get to half of my diet being vegetarian/vegan as a start. Energy levels are good and I seem to be sleeping better-as long as my pager does not go off in the middle of the night! Today is Upper Elite so it is off to the Warrior Gym to get the blood flowing!

Welcome to Wednesday! We are in the middle of the week and everyone should be in full swing of their first workouts of 2013! Now is the perfect time to focus on your mid-week mindset. Think about where you are right now physically and mentally. Are you stiff and sore? Good. I do mean that in a good way! Are you noticing some physical changes ie. pounds, inches, cardio, strength or tone? Where are you mentally? What games is you mind playing with you? Are you not losing pounds and inches or not noticing tone or strength? Remember that it takes time and effort to get to where you want to be. Get started and be consistant. We all react to stimulus differently just be patient and push play everyday! You will succeed!

Yesterday was Upper Elite for me and it is turning out to be a front runner for my favoite workout. Not sure why just yet, but I do enjoy the workout. Maybe it is the strength combined with some cardio? I do need to get more weights, but it will be after I get little man's lacrosse equipment. When did kids sports get so expensive? Yesterday's workout did find some small muscles in my upper back that have not been sore for awhile. Good! I am noticing that my core is tightening up and that I am losing inches over pounds at this time. It is reminding me of Insanity where you tighten up and lose inches first then pounds. I am thinking that I may have to do another 30 days of Asylum Vol 2 to see what happens. I will keep you posted. Off the the Warrior Gym! AKA my garage.

Stay strong!

"It's never too late to become what you might have been." -George Elliot

Happy Friday! It is not just the end of the week it is time to push hard into the weekend! You probably have been working hard during the week so, now is not the time to slack off! If you have started in the beginning of the year you should be in a good groove by now. If you still have weight loss and better health on your list it is not to late to get started. Pick a program and pick a day and get into it! Quit putting off what you know that you need to do! Try choosing a timeline, like 30 days, and if you do it consistantly reward yourself with something that you like. Summer will be here before you know it and will you still be wearing that one-piece, or t-shirt, to cover up the "STUFF?" It is never too late. You can do this.

Yesterday was a day off for me. Not a planned one, but it seems that Thursday's are my really low energy days especially when I have long work days in the beginning of the week. So, I know this about myself and I shift the workout schedule a bit to make things work. I have learned to listen to my body and make the necessary adjustments in order to keep moving forward and to continue to make progress. So, today is Back and 6 Pack and I feel energized and ready to hit it! Wednesday was Power Legs and I was only able to get about 30mins of it in, but it was a strong 30min effort! My legs felt like jello for quite awhile! Power legs is also getting to be a front runner for my favorite workout in Asylum Vol 2! It will be tough to beat out Upper Elite.

Have a great workout! Push hard and eat well! Off to the Warrior Gym!

Stay strong!

Heraclitus: "There is nothing permanent except change."

Good morning all! It's the weekend and for me it is the absolute best time to workout and to dial in your nutrition-even if it is only for the weekend! Hopefully the good habits will spill over into the hectic work/family/kids/school etc... week!! My weekend workouts are the ones that I am able to get in completely. I still get up early, usually 5am instead of 4am, take some time to wake up, have coffee and my pre-workout drink. I will take the quiet time to plan out the weekend chores and kid activities. Then get in a great workout. I will also plan our meals for the coming week and cook in batches so there are containers of grab and go food. It is a great time saver when getting the kids and spouses lunches ready for the next day. It is such a time crunch during the week that we have to save every precious second. And now that lacrosse season has started for my boy there goes 3 hours 3 days a week. So, planning is crucial. Making small, obtainable, changes makes a big difference in making your life easier.

I like this quote alot. We know that our lives will change whether it is daily, monthly or yearly some form of change will occur. Within our community here change is two-fold:physically and mentally. We are striving for a healthier, leaner, and muscular body and constantly fighting the battles of the mind. The mind tells you to stop, to give up, to eat this or drink that. And we struggle with why we are not losing weight!! Control the mind and we control everything. Make small, obtainable, changes and encorporate them into your lifestyle and they will become habit. An easy one is to push play everyday and work as hard as your current physical abilities will let you.

Yesterday was Back and 6 Pack. Strong legs my be the foundation of your body temple, but without a strong core or back the temple will crumble. B6P gives you just that. Strong, powerfull, moves work your core and back in a way that makes you push hard while doing them, but gives you the feeling of accomplishment and strength. Push for more reps, and/or higher weights every workout and you temple will be very happy! Be strong Warriors! Off to the Warrior gym-it's Championship and OT! Time to push for a change in number!!!

Stay strong!

"Energy and persistence conquer all things." -Benjamin Franklin

Good morning! It's hard to believe that I am almost finished with my first round of Asylum Volume 2! Well here we go! I took yesterday off to give my body a break and to get some extra rest to fight off any cold germs that I could be catching from my family. That was a good move on my part, because I am feeling well rested and ready to go!

How are you coming along in your first 30 days? What are you noticing that is different? I believe that was must put forth a significant amount of energy to have our workouts be as effective as possible. And the way to get, and sustain, a good amount of energy is to push play everyday! You must attack every workout with an I will not fail attitude!! Push for one more perfect rep or one more minute before you hit pause. And do not worry is this workout was not a good as the one before. Our energy, and strength, levels change day to day. You may feel as strong as a bull and destroy the workout or a little lethargic and the workout destroys you! It matters not just give 100% of what you can do safely everyday!

Saturday was Championship and Sudden Death OT. This was my best effort to date! I was focused, I felt strong and my pre-workout drink was kicking in! I was hitting it pretty hard for about 75% of the workout when I started to fade. I still had the mental drive, but the muscles where getting weak and I had nothing to give OT. I just hung on and did not quit. Overall I give this workout an A and one of my best AV2 workouts to date! Physically I am noticing more of a body composition change. My muscles are feeling more dense and tight, especially in my core. I decided that I will do another round of AV2 and that will start on January 28th. Now it is time for some X Trainer in the Warrior gym!!

"Do or do not. There is no try."

Good morning all! It's Wednesday and it is a good time to re-evaluate the things that you are doing. Things that I think about mid-week are is my nutrition good, am I pushing hard during my workouts or just going through the motions, am I mentally in the game and what kind of progress am I making. If I need to make adjustments I do it now so I can finish the week strong. For me, lately, it is been starting my workouts to late in the morning where I only have 20-30 mins to get a workout in. I do tell myself that a 20 min workout is better than a zero min workout, but in order to get the maximum benefits it is crucial to get a full workout in. This is harder to do as the week goes on or if I get called in in the middle of the night, but I certainly can focus, and utilize, my strength in the beginning of the week. Everyone is coming up to the first 30 day mark and now is a great time to evaluate and push hard. Results are coming! Keep doing what works!

X Trainer was up yesterday and I am really liking this program lately. Yes, even the Progressive Push up Matrix!! That is a beast and a tough challenge to master. A good, hard workout. Some difficulty with the ladder, not the moves this time, I just kept catching the ladder with my toes. I am focused on finishing the final week as strong as possible in order to set myself up for another round starting on Monday. Off to the Warrior Gym for one of my favorite workouts in AV2-Upper Elite!

Good morning to all! I hope that everyones week is going well and you are ready to rock these workouts that lead us into the weekend! I think that to day is a great day to check in on what is happening to our bodies and what type of effort are we putting in. The first 30 days of your program is coming up and now is a good time to evaluate what is happening. How are your efforts towards the workout? Are you pushing forward with more perfect reps and minutes or just going through the motions? If not, then you need to start attacking every workout! Review your "why" and get re-motivated, but most of all keep pushing play! How is your body composition changing? Are you losing inches? Getting more tone and defined? How are your clothes feeling? Are you looking better in the mirror? And, if you must, what is the scale telling you? Remember that small changes today add up to huge changes tomorrow! Strive for a 1-2 pound body composition change per week. And most of all how is your food intake? Still eating fast food and processed foods and looking for dramatic results? How is your energy level during your workouts? Are you bonking part way trough? Eat every 2-3 hours 5-6 times a day and focus on natural foods and clean protein. Evaluate and make small adjustments. Don't make drastic changes. These programs work you just have to make the effort to create the whole picture.

Yesterday's Upper Elite was my best one to date! Great flow and energy and a huge feeling of power! I like the way that ShaunT has you pushing weights at one moment then blasting through the ladder with cardio and back to the weights. It's tough, but good to mentally be able to push through as hard as possible. Today's Warrior Gym special is Power Legs! Another favorite!

Good morning to all! I am staring at this screen througy blood shot eye! Not only have I been averaging 12 1/2 hour work days, a call in last night, but my seasonal allergies have kicked in!!! Argggggggh!!!! I do feel tired, but mentally my mind is gearing up for Back and 6 Pack!! Think lawn mower not starting and you just pulling the cord and that is me right now. Hopefully the coffee will start to kick in and my pre-workout drink will help.

I hope that everyone is gearing up for a strong finish to the week and a powerful weekend workout! Get excited and use the end of the week as a motivator to push yourself a little farther. The end of the first 30 days is closing in and I know you all will put up some serious numbers! And, some good results. Remember that any loss is still a loss. Do not raise your expectations too high. Strive for a 1-2 pound body composition change per week. And not just the scale, but inches, looser clothes and how you are looking in the mirror.

Power Legs was yesterday and it is turning into a favorite workout with Upper Elite. PL is one of those crazy workouts that you get drawn into. Think insect to a bug lite! Not only does ShaunT work you with a band around your ankles in a series of move, but you take the band off for a power circuit of the same moves back to back not stop! THEN, ShaunT brings out the weights!!!Seriously crazy, but seriously good!! Off to the Warrior Gym for Back and 6 Pack! Let's see what I have in tanks!

Stay Strong!
