Yep, it's a new year and most people figure they are ready for a new body! This will be a process over time, during which you will need support, motivation and of course, accountability. Come join me as I work towards completing the goals I have set out and see if this is the place for you to join!

Goals:

  • Reach goal weight of 120-130
  • Daily nutrition log/Accountability
  • Daily workouts with Beachbody programs being completed from start to finish

Today's workout and accountability thus far:

Around 4pm I will be doing RevAbs Fire Up Your Abs

Choc Vegan Shakeology for breakfast
Mid-Morning Snack was a couple of cookies (might throw the rest out so they stop tempting me!)
Lunch: Another shake or deli turkey sandwhich
Dinner: Shake or deli turkey sandwhich
Additional Snacks: Baby carrots

Got rid of the cookies and the vanilla almond bites that appeared for new years celbrations, had another choc vegan shake for dinner with a couple slice of deli turkey as an afternoon snack! So, totals for the day are 1361 calories consumed, 402 calories burned with a net total of 959! Also made sure to get in plenty of water with about 12 cups of the amazing stuff!

Also, burned just over 400 calories doing RevAbs Fire Up Your Abs.

Tomorrow I plan to get an early start and do my workout before heading to work. I work as a teacher's aide in an elementary school and have been on break for a while but we go back tomorrow for a teachers work day and the students return on the third! Can't wait to get back to a regular schedule after all of the craziness of the holidays!

Day 3 of RevAbs complete. Today was Power Intervals and man does that 30minutes make me work hard! Burned just under 400 calories during that 30 minutes and I'm still a little shaky from how hard I worked. My intensity level was definitely at or over a 9!!

Accountability for today:

Breakfast:
Chocolate Vegan Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk. Gotta love starting the day off right!!

Snacks: Baby carrots and deli turkey

Lunch: 2 pieces of Sara Lee Honey Wheat 45 calories and delicious bread with four slices of Deli Turkey

Dinner:
Another Shake to help right myself after a week off of Shakeology (didn't have time to prepare bags when we had to take an emergency trip for a death in the family, next time I'll be sure to pack some though!)

Naughty Snack: Had some Trader Joe's chocolates - I only ate the dark chocolate ones but I still shouldn't have!!

Day Four Complete!! Its amazing how rejuvenated and exhausted one can feel from a workout. I feel like I have all the energy in the world and yet none at all at the same time - gotta love those endorphins!!

Accountability for today:
Breakfast: Choc Vegan Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk
Snacks: banana, deli turkey, more chocolates (yes, yell at me, they're almost gone thankfully), baby carrots
Lunch: Chicken salad....grilled chicken, leafy romaine lettuce, italian dressing and a boiled egg
Dinner: Probably something with chicken as the chicken is defrosted and the beef is not (sorry honey, we'll do up sloppy joes for tomorrow!)

What have you done today? What are your goals? Accountability is key!

Accountability is key! And thanks for the support! I've heard great things about Insanity, but am taking it easy since I've been having some knee issues emoticon That's why I'm doing RevAbs right now.

Did Fire Up Your Abs today and burned just under 400 calories, felt awesome!!

Breakfast: Chocolate Vegan Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk
Snacks: Those darn chocolates (they're gone now), baby carrots, and green grapes
Lunch: Deli Turkey, Sara Lee Wheat Bread, and a blueberry muffin
Dinner: Chocolate Vegan Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk and an angel drop biscuit

Day 6 of RevAbs completed and I am feeling awesome! This first week is always the hardest, and the second week is almost as hard but you will soon see the rewards of your efforts! I burned nearly 400 calories in 30 minutes doing Power Intervals - AWESOME workout!

Nutrition for today:
Breakfast and Lunch: Chocolate Vegan Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk
Snacks: Banana and half a bar of 70% dark chocolate
Dinner: Soup and Salad and Olive Garden (hubby and I have a gift card so gonna find ways to make good choices even while eating out!)

Yesterday was the end of the first week for the program for me, and today marks the first full week of the New Year! How well have you done on your first week?

Yesterday I did Total Body 10 Minute Trainer with warm up and burned 137 calories in 15 minutes - that's quite the burn. Tony Horton moves you fast, fast, fast with that workout! It was a rest day from RevAbs but I've been eager to try a couple of the 10 Minute Trainer videos and don't want to them on days where I do a RevAbs workout as well.

I also took my measurements yesterday! So far so good but definitely some room to improve.
Current Weight: 166.3 - want to be average range of 125-135 so, one step closer every day but still lots of work to do!

Accountability for yesterday:
Breakfast: Chocolate vegan shake with unsweetened almond milk
Lunch: Meatloaf, homemade white bread, carrots, and two tiny gingerbread cookies
Dinner: Scrambled Egg whites and an angel soft drop biscuit with the rest of my dark chocolate bar

Accountability for today:
Breakfast: Shake
Snacks: Baby carrots and deli meat
Lunch: Grilled chicken salad with boiled egg and italian dressing
Dinner: Might make some chicken pot pie....or fish...hmmm

Starting the day out right with some Chocolate Vegan Shakeology! Gonna have a turkey deli sandwich for lunch, snacks will be cashews, banana and baby carrots, and dinner is either French toast or another Chocolate Vegan Shake!

I've been doing great on my workouts so far, burning an average of 300-400 calories every day! It may be exhausting to workout every day, but the rewards and extra energy are so totally worth it!

Today is going to Power Intervals 1! As for diet, I'll be having some french toast with peanut butter for breakfast, then a chocolate vegan shake for lunch and dinner, snacks will be cantalope and pineapple - I'll also be making a chicken pot pie for my husband for dinner that I'll take for lunch throughout the week! (mine is made without cream and uses water with wheat flour instead as both my husband and I are lactose intolerant so a piece of it is around 250 calories!)

Today was rough on nutrition, but I still got my workout in! Muscles are totally feeling the after effects of RevAbs Total Strength and Mercy Abs but it'll be worth it in the end! Burned another 533 calories!
