Hey! That's exciting that you are starting 10 Minute Trainer--I have it and love that you work multiple body parts at the same time. I did Insanity before too, and I didn't see results until I upped my calories. Did you follow the meal plan? I know it's the tougher part for me, but following it with the workout was the only way I saw good results....but it was worth doing the diet!! emoticon

Some other tips to keep at it and stay excited are:
-to repeat a mantra like (I'm stronger than this!)
-PLAN your workout each day and schedule the time for it
-set rewards for yourself (I like green tea at Starbucks, soft socks, a cheap facial mask at Target, etc)
-PREP your meals before hand...the more you can do on the weekend the better.
-Join a workout group or challenge. I started one when I started Insanity because everyone locally thought i was nuts for doing it. I asked around online and found some people with similar goals and workouts and made a group! I love it! We share tips, motivational posts, fit tests, progress, meal plans, and also host a monthly challenge and giveaway to those crushing their goals. If you'd like me to add you to it I can--it's mostly women and several of us are doing Insanity or have in the past. My profile is fb.com/kaleesorey if you want me to add you to it--it's private so only members can see what we post & no spam or antyhing.
-SET a goal like your birthday
-PLAN for holidays, parties, etc. and figure out what you are okay with and what you need to plan around food/drink wise. I do a 90/10 approach to keep my results but also not go crazy over skipping EVERY dessert.

Talk to you soon!

Good job on deciding to start the new year off right with a godo workout program. Make sure to plan ahead your available times to workout. I also suggest trying to complete the workout as soon as you can to avoid pushing it off all day long then coming up with an excuse to miss it. I even have that problem myself sometimes emoticon

Be the change!

Happy New Year!!!!!
I gained weight the first month of Insanity too. A lot of it has to do with the new muscles and holding in acids... during the second month it comes off and you can really see definition and results!
Make sure for this time around that you take pictures at the beginning, do your measurements and record your weight. Then put the stupid scale away. Once every month, take a new set of photos and measurements - that's where you'll see your best progress. I actually have not lost a ton of weight, but my body has changed so much. My husband keeps commenting on how different I look and I just bought jeans a size smaller.
My goal for the New Year is to continue to work on my eating, do two rounds of Insanity in 2013, shape up my arms, and then with time in between Insanity work on running and just enjoying time at the gym emoticon
Take care and hope to hear from you soon!!
Beth

Thanks everyone!!! I can't wait for the DVDs to come in! I just had my second baby 6 months ago and this weight is coming off a lot harder than with my first! Which I'm surprised because I was in better shape right before I had baby 2! My biggest down fall is the scale I'm addicted every morning I get on that stupid thing! I'm hoping the 10 minute workout will be good for the morning before the 2 boys wake up!!! Did anyone of you use this program was this all you did or did u do two DVDs a day? I also love the gym so I don't want to give that up so I'm hopping to still go three times a week for extra cardio!

OK - put the scale away... or better yet, throw it away and just get measured for weight at doctor visits!!!
If you do any program consistently and eat well, you will see results!! If you can do the tem minute program and add in some outside work outs for fun, I think you will get great results!
You sound like you have agreat plan in place and a month from now, I am willing to be you will be on here singing about your progress emoticon
