Hi, i am Abel 27 years old and i started p90x 2 weeks ago, i just finished my day 13 workout classic

I started at 174 and i am 5'11 and right now i am at 166, my goal is 155 but if i go lower i don't mind.
Question is, how am i losing weigh? I want to know how this works, i follow the nutrition plan at 90% because i don't always have all the ingredients needed for the meal but i replace them. I eat around 1800 calories never eat more than 1900.
Also, my wife told me that i look skinnier but i can't tell yet. When will i see noticeable results? And also about abs, how long will it take to start seeing them? I had abs about 12 years ago but even when i was 135lbs i had no abs but never worked out.
And my last question, do you guys think my love handles will go away when i am done? I hate being skinny with them.
