Easy methods to gain weight?
I started the Insanity program last year and its been a life changer as i went from working out very seldom to a healthy 6 days a week. I'm on my 3rd rotation of insanity and i just began adding a few dumbell excercises every other day to gain some muscle. As much as i love insanity, it just seems to work too good. I'm burning calories at such as rapid rate i'm having a hard time putting any weight back on and now i'm that i'm doing some weightlifting i'd like to bulk up a bit more to get some muscle definition. My eating habits are all messed up too, its been hard keeping with the 5 meals a day. I've grabbed some protein shakes, but what else can i do to bulk up? I'm afraid if i cut down on the insanity i'll lose alot of the great results i've faught hard to get. What would some of you suggest to put on a bit more weight and how do i turn that weight into muscle? Thanks for your time.

If you're having trouble getting enough calories you probably want to look at adding more carbs and beneficial fats rather than more protein. Proteins are vary satiating, which is why it's hard to eat too much when doing "Fat Shredder" ratios like 50% protein. What are your current macro levels?

If you wanna put on muscle Insanity might not be the best program around. You might wanna check in trying on P90X or Body Beast and start lifting serious weight.

Insanity is a more cardio High Intensity workout that will burn off calories but wont add size.

Check your nutrition to have macro of 40% Carbs / 40% Protein / 20% Fat and start eating more if you wanna add muscle. You need to be in caloric surplus to gain size otherwise you will shred.

Getting a gym membership would help put more weight on also. Taking your maintenance carbs and adding 60 grams per week and protein at 1.5g. This would be a great start.

Doing simple things like adding fruit and nuts or peanut/almond butter to your shakes will add a ton of healthy calories. Adding some healthy snacks as well.

You should also not do strictly insanity either. Definitely not a bulking up workout. Lift weights or do programs like body beast or P90X. Also if your intent on keeping some insanity workouts in your life do some sort of insanity/p90x hybrid or insanity/body beast hybrid. Hope this helps.
