Starting BodyBeast in a week - so jacked!
Starting BodyBeast in a week - so jacked!
fitness muscle mass body beast body beast - first round
1/2/13 6:40 PM
Hey everyone,

Newbie to these forums. I just purchased BodyBeast & should be starting it up in about a week or so. I've always been "the skinny guy" & am looking to bulk up. I have been doing P90X since May & sprinkled in some Insanity here & there - I realized that my main goal is to put on some lbs & build muscle mass...BodyBeast seems perfect! I'm so jacked to get started!

Any tips/advice from others out there that have done the program? I have a chin-up bar, dumbbells up to 90lbs & will be getting a fitness/weight bench sometime this week.

Thanks,
CT

Hello CT,
Congrats on the purcharse of the good program body beast. Being the skinny guy all my life i can tell you this program works and if you follow the nutrition guide and eat a lot you will bulk up.

My only advise would be to eat at least your estimated calorie and if you can add more. A lot of people found out that they got best results by adding 200-400 calories more than what they calculated with the beast book.

Don't forget to buy yourself a good EZ curl bar as you will need it in most workout. Other than that you seem to have all the equipment that you need.

Beast up!

I have Power Blocks, 3lbs to 24 lbs and a set of 30lbs Dumbbells and they worked great for all 3 P90X's(P90X, + series and X2)

but unfortunately, you change weights so much with BB, it's tough to keep pausing and changing weights.

Luckily I live in a condo where they have a decent rack of weights in the gym. Once I got to know the program I brought the worksheet down there and used the weights. I found it a lot better and quicker. Also, I never used the EZ bar for the program and I progressed and got some good gains without it.

So if you're using Powerblocks or the Beachbody equivalent, you might find it frustrating having to change the weights so often. It's easier to just drop a set and pick up another set.

@MatthewG63 & @CoachMaczilla23,

boy was that tough to watch us choke that away w/ only 25sec.'s left! It really stings from the standpoint that is how we lost to MIA/DET/& almost to CHI...it reared its ugly head again. I don't losing Bevell and/or Gus Bradley would be that bad of a thing - we have excellent talent, head coach & front office people in place. Carroll & Co. will find the right guys to fit our style. 1) what coach WOULDNT want to come to in SEA? & 2) what players in FA WOULDNT want to come to SEA? We are setting ourselves up for long-term, sustained success in the PNW! I love eveything we got goin' on - but yes, Sunday's loss hurt.

As for BodyBeast, I freaking love it!!! Onto day9 tomorrow emoticon

It was a tough loss, we should have scored several times in the first half but blew it. Yes there is a bright future, lots of talent and Carroll is a good one. I was glad to see SF made it since we didn't… even though we were the best NFC team at the end of the year we didn't come through when we needed to. Look forward to next season. Glad to see you're loving the Beast, it's awesome, look forward to seeing more updates!

Nice to hear about the ball games but seems as if there needs to be some serious Beasting Up in here! I guess that the Beastette must enter;). Body Beast is awesome and I would recommend to eat the calories and ratio's in the book. Be forewarned, however, that you will gain mass and maybe not in places that you want it but you have to gain everywhere to grow.@seahawks2300, you may need 2 Rounds to see thick muscle growth but you will get there if you follow the program and diet plan. Beast Up! Go watch the ball games Guys while I do Tempo Back and Bi's!
