im in. lots about me. was tall and skinny. got a hernia... bed ridden for 5 years. got 300 pounds fat dropped a hundred so far and am looking to add power to that. redoing my hybrid in a about a week )2 more days of last hybrid adn a week of testing asylum 2 before working on tuneing my hybrid up(

Hot dog, day 1 in the books. I took it rather east today. I didn't want to go insane on day one, but still got a big pump going. The pushups were really tough after the previous 2 exercises back to back to back, but kicked some ass. Still trying to figure out how much chow to eat every day. I keep getting different body fat percentages using different BF calculations. What do you guys recommend? Day 2 tomorrow, Bring it!!!

First Day in the books! BUILD: CHEST AND TRICEPS

Man what a pump I got from this workout. I figured since I was coming from doing p90x some that push ups would be easy but Gatorknowles is right on the money. Very difficult... I think i actually went to my knees for diamond push ups for the first set of 15. I did 10 normal then 5 on my knees. At least I finished, what it takes!

I am betting that leg today tomorrow is going hurt a lot too :-)

Have you read the Book of the Beast? It should have a section for you to figure out your calorie needs in order to bulk up. Since you are 6'3 i would say you should be eating around 3,600 calories to gain. You on myfitnesspal?

As far as the BF goes, have you tried using calipers? Thats what I use and i got the directions to use them from the P90X Nutrition guide. How far off are your percentages?

Here it goes, Blog number 2 for me ever. The legs video is definitely a BEAST! I got through it, somehow. You just need to get through it. I actually took some pauses to at least finish the damn thing. I got it done though. Good luck fellow Beasters!!! Give em Hell!

Day 2 BUILD LEGS done! Ok, this is the one workout that I knew I had to work hard at, because I have skinnny legs and I know that the majority of my weight gain is going to come from my lower body so I pushed hard today. I used 20lbs to 45 lbs dumbells and when we got to the calf raises for the first time I thought I was gonna throw up. That has never happened to me from lifting weights! I knew that I was pushing hard so I sucked it up and kept going and blasted my lower body!

What a workout! My shirt was soaken wet when I was done. Those one legged lunges with one foot on the bench is a monster, I will def feel that in my butt tomorrow! My pre work that I been taking has been giving me all kinds of energy since I work out first thing in the morning on a empty stomach. Hope everyone is beasting up!

Great Job, Jerry. You are right about the most gains in weight is definitely lower extremitity. The unglamorous muscles. Great job. Bring IT!

Day 3 BUILD BACK AND BICEPS!

Awesome pump to get my day started! I think I did pretty well! Or at least I thought I was because I was keeping up with Sagi then he grabs the 50's to do his bicep curls and i'm like wtf lol, I only did 7 reps with my 35's but what a great workout! Shoulder day tomorrow, can't wait! BEAST UP!

How is everyone else doing?

Gatorknowles is still recovering from legs day!! Tough workout for me. Really my entire body is sore. Last night the shoulders video is fast and furious. It's really tough to stay up throughout the 45 minutes. I had to take some pauses but did get er done! 4 straight days of lifting is tough, but awesome. Tonight is cardio and abs. Good luck everybody!

Week 2 BUILD Chest and Tris: I did better and was able to record all all my weights and reps unlike last time becuase I was getting used to the sets and moves. Hopefully I am as sore tomorrow as I was last time I did this one!

Knowles is back. Had to push back training one day due to beach weekend. It's amazing how guilty I felt. That's probably a good thing though. Did the build chest tris yesterday. Really increased the weight substantially from last week. It's amazing how fast the body can adapt with increased strength from only 1 week ago. Tonight the Legs hell begins again. Good luck out there fellow beasters!
