I am looking to start an accountability group starting on Jan 7th. I will be doing P90X2 but all are welcome to join me.

I have done a few rounds of P90X as well as Insanity and a hybrid with the two. I have also started a round of P90X2 but injured my shoulder ½ way thru and although I went back to it after I was cleared to resume but I feel I didn’t give it 100%. This round I am committed to getting the best result with the program as well as eating clean.

This week I will get everything in place as well as food shopping so I am prepared. As well as measurements, and most important before pictures.

Look forward to getting started so Let Do This!!!

Hey Joe. I am looking forward to this round of X2. I am going to get everything ready to start on Monday. I will do the recovery & Mobility DVD to get ready. Will also get fit test done this weekend and document my measurements.

Signing up for a marathon is a great way to keep you motivated. You got this.

Hi Guys- I'd love to join you. For me, accountability is key.

I just got the disks and am going to try to get my act together by the 7th so I can join in with you all (equipment, etc). I'm a P90X & Insanity veteran, finished a tough mudder this past fall and seriously in need of something to keep me moving in the off season. I need to update my stats/picture/etc., but would looooooove the company during the next 90 days!

Jonesy/Shred: How many weeks do you anticipate doing each phase? I'm not sure what to expect with the flexibility of the 3-5 weeks, recovery weeks when needed... J- what did you do the first time around??

id - going on memory but i think my original intention was as follows but like i mentioned I hurt my shoulder so it got messed up

Phase 1 - 4 wks
Phase 2 - 5 wks
Recovery week
Phase 3 - 4 wks.

I may follow this same routine but will have to see where I am at when changing phases. I dont want to rush through the program but concentrate on form.

Joe - what are you planning on doing?

Hey!

I would love to be a part of this group too! I have quite a few Beachbody programs and like doing them. I did P90x a couple of times, but petered out after about 8 weeks. I did finish Insanity though (and that was insane!). I would like the accountability to help me push through that last month as that is when I seem to get thrown off.

I already took my photos and measurements and did the fit test, so I am ready to start on Monday.

Thanks for starting this group - I am looking forward to this!

I'm in. Just got all my gear for Xmas. I did p90x 5 years ago complete. Tried 2 more times in the next year but failed due to injury or sickness.
Fast forward to last sept. Did a complete round. Lost over 20 lbs. Worked out maybe 3 times in dec. (I know it's gonna hurt)
Cant wait to start new challenge.
I play hockey 3 times a week and think this emphasis on core, stability, and balance will be perfect for me.

Grocery shopping done and I got a lot of great staple items to get me started. Cannot stress this enough to have the right foods with you at all times. Eat enough to fuel your body, eat smart and drink your water. Also completed my fit test.

Thing you should have completed before starting.
- Fit Test
- Measurement
- Before Pictures

These are all key so you can look back and see your accomplishments. You do not have to post these or share with anyone. These are for you to look back at 30, 60 & 90 days.

Here on out post daily. This will be key to keep yourself accountable. I know life gets hectic so doesn't have to be anything long just let us know what you have done and if you want to share you ups and downs we are here to support each other. One way this helps me is to use WOWY and enter an Auto schedule for your program. If you need help setting this us shoot me and email and i will be more then happy to walk you thru it.

Also, subscribe to this thread. this will help you navigate right to this thread and will have an email sent to you if anyone post. Again great accountability and support for each other. To do so just click on subscribe on the top of this thread.

gtr - Welcome to the group. Great results with your last round of P90X. I also find December a hard month. My schedule is so outta wack and having an accountability group would have helped me. Oh well I am ready for this round and am totally stocked to get started tomorrow.

Alright group lets hit this thing running. All are welcome to join this group no matter what or where you are with any program.

LETS DO THIS!!!

Yeah. My wife spent a million dollars at the store getting ready for this. I'm stocked. I thought the nutrition was going to be a lot different from p90x. Glad it's not. They are almost identical except they broke up carbs into legumes/tubers and grains. That will totally help me because I can continue to use the iPhone app which now has the p90x2 workouts as well. If you don't have it I highly suggest it. It's 99 cents. Way better than the pen and paper. I use it on my iPad just so it's bigger.

I will definitely take the photos and record weight and body fat. That's part of the app as well. Probably won't do the fit test. I know there will be improvement. I'll use the mirror instead.

I just printed out my sheets so I can keep record my workouts. I'm officially ready to bring it again now!

I went skiing today and my quads are super tired! I forgot to mention that I have done phase 1 of P90x2. If I remember correctly there aren't a lot of legs tomorrow, so I am happy for that.

I couldn't figure out how to subscribe to this thread - I didn't see it anywhere. I did bookmark it though and will check in daily.

I too have my food ready - I am not following the P90x2 diet though as I am trying to do more of a Paleo diet of meats, veggies and fruits. I am throwing in some protein drinks to make sure I get enough protein.

Looking forward to tomorrow!

Day 1 P90X2 / X2 Core - DONE!! Boy do I need to work on my balance I had more then a few floor taps. Overall though was happy with what I accomplished. Time now for my recovery drink. Looking forward to seeing how you all did today.

Becca - Right above my top post to the right should be a "Subscribe" button. See if that works.

Time! Practice! Patience!

X2 Core done for me too! Glad to see that I still kept some of my strength from when I did phase one a couple of months ago - definitely room for improvement though.

The subscribe button finally appeared so I am good to go now.

Have a great day!

One down 89 to go. I liked it. Got a good sweat on. Glad no one was watching me though. Form was UGLY. I'm sure it will get better as the weeks go by and I can get a handle on some of these moves.

I can't wait until day 3 when I will be rolling and my buddy doing the p90x1 won't be able to lift his phone to his ear.

You guys have done this one before. Are the first few days of phase 2 gonna hurt?

Hi Jonesy, I started a few days ago...so happy to join the 7/1 club if that's ok. I finished about 45 days of P90X a year ago...then hopped to doing Men's Health and then a core training book. So, now I am back 1 year later and raring to go with P90X two. Having stopped cycling to work for 1 month, my first impressions are that P90X2 will work cardio and muscles. Glad to hear your first days went well all.

Becca - Great job, it does feel good when coming back to it and seeing improvement. Keep it up.

Keith - I hear ya. That's why I get up at 4:30am to get it down while I don't have an audience, lol. Once strength phase comes oh you'll feel it. Get your core and balance moves down. This is why this program lets you add a few weeks so you have that down before moving to the next phase.

Specialized - Welcome to the group!! That's a great thing about these programs you come back and you see where you have improved and makes you push that much harder.

So for me today my nutrition was spot on. Felt like I ate all day but clean. One thing you don't want to do is not eat enough. Keep it clean. Water consumption was good as well.

Great motivation here guys. Let keep this going strong

Mind if I join in with you all?

Just finished a P90X/Insanity round on December 17th, had a blast and really enjoyed the combination. I've done 4 rounds of P90x in last 3 years, but have never really joined a group on the message boards, just lurked a bit for inspiration.

Started my Phase 1 of X2 today with X2 Core and it was interesting to say the least. Lot of new moves and the instability aspect is great. Didn't really know what to expect, but in end I had a good sweat going. Only real issue I had was understanding the whole foam roller usage, but I figure that once I do a few X2 Recovery + Mobility sessions it'll make a bit more sense.

I'm looking forward to Plyocide tomorrow to see how it compares to Insanity.
