So i did phase 1 of p90x four years ago before I lost the dvds and didnt have too hard of a time with it (back when I was in high school and good shape) after 4 years of lack of exercise and partying I am trying to get back to that fitness level. I just finished day one and struggled but was able to finish chest and back. My question is I couldnt make it all the way through Ab Ripper X. My legs were killing me and also my back. Also I was worried if I went to hard on it I wouldnt be able to get through to plyos tomorrow. Just seeing if anyone has had a similar problem.

Hi Tim,
Congrats on re-engaging on your fitness with P90X. Great job getting through chest & back. It is pretty common for people to not be able to get through ab ripperx. I would concentrate on your form and then work to increase reps. When I started I even stopped the dvd to make sure I did the form correctly. If something is painful is is always best to break, reassess and not push it. I think as your improve your back will start feeling better. If you continue to have back issues, definitely discuss with your doctor.
