Doubt with my P90X diet. First month, Plan 2
p90x nutrition diet

Hi to all de comunity! I am glad to participate in these fantastic forums.

This is my first week with P90X and i am very happy with it after 5 days. I have a lot o pains in my body but it is ok!. I am doing it to eliminate 3 kg of fat and to increase my muscles. I am 1,85m and 78kg.

The issue is that i have doubts about my nutrition plan. Here in Spain we dont have much meals that the "oficial" nutrition plan says or they are so dificult to find, so i am doing my own one. I will write it to you to have your opinion.

First of all i have to say that i am ovo-lacto vegetarian. This means that o dont eat meat at all, including all kind of animals, and because of this i am looking for have a good quantity of proteins without meat. This first month as you know is to loose weight and based in proteins mainly. This is a typical day for me about nutrition:

8.30am 30g of Dymatize Elite that means 24gr of protein. Always with water

9.00am Breakfast: 3 cookeed whites of egg, one small banana and 200ml of soja milk, with a little bit of canela

13.30pm: After my P90X sesion i take my post shake plus my BCAAs

14.00pm: Launch: One big salad with no fat and light ingredients OR one vegetable hamburguer with integral rice

18.00pm: 30gr of nuts

21.00pm: One sandwich of integral bread and light cheese with tomato and lettuce. One light yogurt

00.00: My shake again and plus vitamins

Anything that you think i have to fix? Too much food to loose weight?

Thanks!!

Create yourself a myfitnesspal.com account (it free) and start logging your food. This way you will be able to know how much calories and what are your macro for a day.

You need to calculate how much calorie you need to loose weight and aim for that every day. Your macro will also be along the line of 50% Protein / 30% Carbs / 20 % Fat.

What's important is not that you follow the P90X diet but, rather, that you hit the right amount of calories and your ratio of proteins/carbs/fats. Dominic's advice to set up myfitnesspal as your food tracker is good advice. The food in Spain is generally fresh and healthy so as long as you're sticking with simple, fresh foods you'll do great. Thanks for your question and keep coming back.
