Hi guys!!
I decided to start Insanity for my first time on the first of the year for a new year's resolution. I have been keeping with it so far, but I would like some people to be accountable to! Possibly some people on their first round to express my struggles and encourage each other. Anyone in?

I am doing Insanity!!!! I will go over and add you as a friend! I just did my Plyo today. I used to hate Plyo... now I love it emoticon
I am on my second round!!!!
How are you doing? Are you sore? Did you take all your pictures and measurements? Make sure you do because it's so awesome to see the differences!!!!
Want to be accountable here? We can make this into a daily check-in thread!

Oh cool, a buddy! I hate plyo as of now...i hate all of the workouts, except the recovery haha. but I love the soreness I get, because I know its working. After the first two days I was EXTREMELY sore. Today I still feel it, but it is better than it was. I took all of my measurements, but I havent taken any pictures yet because I dont have anyone to take them for me. I would love to be accountable here! How long did it take for you to start seeing results either losing weight or inches? I feel my body changing, but I'd like to see it too! I'm trying to lose 20 lbs before my sister's wedding in June. I'm not sure how realistic that is, but thats my goal! Cant wait to do this now! Do you still get sore during the workouts?

I do still get sore!!!! Earlier I was really sore - now it's just a good, deep sore. I like that kind because it shows progress and that my muscles are still growing!!! In a few weeks you will love the workouts as much as you hate them emoticon I am nervous about getting back to the second month again! Those workouts are sooooo much harder! But just like with these first workouts, you get more used to them and feel you are getting them more under your belt. This is such a great program because you know that you can always get something out of the workout! The fittest people can't do it easily!

I just started insanity last night! I'd love a "workout buddy" to hold me accountable as well! I've never done insanity before and decided to try it after having my baby last august!

Perfect! Lets make this a board where we post what workout we did each day and how dead we are afterwards! haha. My back is strained today. I hope it gets better and it isn't a serious issue. I am on day 5 today. I'll post later on my workout. I like to do them in the evenings. And congrats on your baby!

I'm in! I start Monday. My dvds arrived yesterday. I'll put my before pics and measurements up soon. I just had my son about 6 weeks ago and so I tried the fit test this morning and almost died! lol! But I would love to join you in the accountability area and our first round of Insanity! I want my body back and my Insanity shirt!emoticon

I just got together with my calendar and planned out times for my workouts all week. Kids have practice, I work and hubby is deployed for a week. But I have the week planned out!!!! I don't think during the week I will get a lot of second workouts in... but the weekends are a great time for me to do extra "fun" stuff!!!
I think I should leave my job and just become a fitness queen. Who's in? Ha ha emoticon

Workout day 5: pure cardio. I was shaking uncontrollably at the end of this workout. But I am so glad I got through it. I had to pause it several times to catch my breath, but I finished. emoticon and I took "before" pictures today because I figured it was still early enough to do that. How did everyone else do today?

Day 6- Cardio Circuit finished. Today wasn't so bad for the cardio portion, maybe I just wasn't working hard enough. My muscles aren't as sore as they were earlier in the week, but the moves were much harder to do in good form because my muscles got sore faster during the workout. And I couldn't do the one where you are on the floor and you jump to plank and back to the fetal position very much because I drank too much water and it was sloshing in my stomach. So take sips, not gulps during the workout. How is everyone doing in their workouts???

Today is Day 4 for me! I also prefer doing my workouts at night! The fiit test was pretty discouraging for me because I used to be in very good physical shape and having such a hard time was tough for me to take. After last night's workout I was feeling a little better and trying to think positively! I know it's only week one and I can only get better from here! All the jumping around does kind of hurt my knees, I don't know if anyone else is experiencing that? emoticon Hope everyone is doing well with the challenge so far!

Pure Cardio is the hardest one for me now! Now I love Plyo and not Pure Cardio as much. I especially die when you have to do burpees at the end!!! Ugh! I have to limit my water intake too, or I get all sloshy! I can't eat before a workout, either.
Yesterday I did Cardio Power and Resistance. It went pretty well. The one thing I still cannot do there is the tricep dip while lifting my leg. But I can do a lot more dips. I was so glad I did the workout, because I was REALLY sore from the weekend and it stretched my aching muscles.

I do mine after work too. I am just not a morning person.
Be careful with your knees - they should not be hurting. Make sure you are landing softly and your knees are bent.
The first fit test is hard... you will be soooooooo excited when you get to the second and see your progress! I was just glad I didn't die during the first test emoticon

I started Insanity for the first time on December 31st. It is really hard but I like the way I feel when I am done. I have been committed so far and I am hoping to find people doing the same thing and to have more accountability. I like reading everyone else's struggles and triumphs; it helps.

My daughter asked me to go running tonight, so I might switch my rest day and take her. (She's 12 and I don't want her going alone). She can seriously outrun me, but it will be fun. So if the weather clears up, we will hit a 4-mile trail here. If she decides she doesn't want to go, or if it is raining, I will be doing Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs today.

Day 8 done! Cardio power resistance. I think this is my favorite of all the workouts we have done. I was able to do much more this week than I was last week. I'm still completely exhausted, but I feel good! Loving insanity. For everyone who hasn't started yet, or is in their first week. I'm only on the first day of week two, but I've improved leaps and bounds from last week.

I dont know if that is a bad thing. I have chronic low back pain and on day 5 I strained my back pretty good, but it healed and I think just like the rest of your muscles are constantly ripping and repairing themselves that it may have been just that. If they are hurting a lot, I would take it easy, you don't want to permanently injure yourself. I hope you are still able to stick with it!
