Pain in my feet
Pain in my feet
1/5/13 12:00 AM
I have tried a few if the insanity workouts in the past and I just started doing the asylum daily and every time there is a workout that involves a lot of jumping my feet start to hurt. At first I thought it was my shoes so I tried the workout without shoes and it still hurt.
It doesn't feel sore, its a definite pain, but if I stop and rest for a minute it goes away.
Is this just a normal thing that will go away as I get stronger? Is there a stretch I can do that might help? Or are my feet just messed up and I should have a doctor look at 'em?

Thanks

Hello. I doubt your feet are messed up. This can happen when your body isnt used to this kind of work. I would definitely wear shoes and it possibly could have some to do with the shoes you have. Buy some soles to but in them or maybe try a different pair. I had to switch my shoes out doing P90X and it took my foot pain away. Hope this helps.

What kind of surface are you working out on?
Try a plyo-mat.
Most feet issues revolve around:
1 Bad form
2 Bad footwear
3 Bad surface

Fog and Mac are correct, I had the same problem the first week or so of INSANITY it turned out in my case I was not landing 100% correctly and was staying on my toes which was causing me pain. You may have something like that going on keep an eye on your form and you should be fine, be sure to add a few buddies here on the site such as Mac all the coaches are here to help you reach your goals.
