Weight loss and Flabby skin.
Hi

I'm about to start insanity tomorrow morning.

however i have queries regarding fat loss and flabby skin, i'm currently 6'2 and 200 lbs, with 25% body fat, i used to be exceptionally fit as a semi pro athlete, however for the last 4 years I've become very lazy and determined to sort this out.

With my current BMI am i susceptible to flabby skin after i loose the appropriate weight " 24 TO 28 lbs is my goal"??

can anybody help?

cheers

First off, Congrats on starting insanity. Its a great program that will work the heck out of you!

You should be fine. If you lose at the proper speed you wont have any problems. If you lose at a high rate of speed it could become a bit loose but over time it will suck back up. Your not that overweight to really worry about it though. I was 6ft 191 pounds 22% body fat and never had this issue when i lost all my weight! Hope this helps

Cheers Corrie.....

This begs the next question... "over training" i was considering do insanity and 45 minute jog 4 times a week, i used to train 7 days a week at high intensity and this wouldn't of seemed OTT once upon a time.

However if i train at these levels will i loose weight too quickly?

Also when i purchased this program i was offered to buy a light vitamin fat burner, i turned it down because i was made aware of a product called PVL Water tight, its a light fat burner/ diuretic... would using this be a benefit or a cause of flabby skin?

well done on your weight loss by the way Corrie.

I would start off just doing insanity if i were you if you havent worked out for awhile. Insanity will work you! You really wouldnt need extra workout time to lose weight if your eating clean.

Im not a big fan of fat burners and such. To me its a gimmick but thats my opinion. You dont need them to lose weight. If you work your butt off and eat clean thats all you really need!

flabby skin is all about genetics. this is something that pregnant women think about; how your skin stretches isn't something that can be determined just by looking at someone. if your mom or your dad experiences a loss of elasticity with weight gain/loss (ie. if your mom has it from her pregnancies), then you could be susceptible however, it's not a guarantee.

insanity will shred you like crazy. stick with the program, eat clean and you'll see results! good luck.
