Thank you all so much for the nice support and encouragement! So when ever I can pay it forward to someone else (which is not often) I gladly will! lol
At such a large weight, doing these major exercises was not for me; at least not yet. I knew I had to find a way to drop some weight so that my back would stop hurting long enough for me to do anything. All I kept hearing about the Shakeology was that it was a wonder drink and so good for your health. So I bought them and tried them. Honestly I didn't give it much chance in the beginning because I was expecting immediate results, like over night. We always do this to ourselves. Finally I had enough and decided to stick to it for one month, just drinking a shake a day for meal replacement, and then eating sensibly the rest of the day. All the reports say that the shakes only work and results only come if you drink it every day. So that's what I did. I replaced every breakfast with a shake. I did try fruits and peanut butter in the mixtures, but for me, I prefer the basics. So I mixed

z skim milk, shake pack, and then a few cubes of ice that I crushed up in a blender. I did cut out soft drinks during this time. I have to admit I thought I'm have terrible migraines from the caffeine and sodium withdrawals, but that never happened! The shakes kept me from those annoying headaches! For the first few days I really didn't see or feel anything differently. However, I kept on drinking them. As the days passed I realized that my cravings for the bad foods was diminishing. I was actually eating a bit healthier each day and, felt a bit of pride in myself for sticking to something. After one month of shakes I lost 20 lbs! I couldn't believe it! In 6 months I had lost 50lbs. Now there were times that I stopped the shakes. I had weak moments and ate poorly but crazily enough I didn't gain more weight. I stayed the same. I kept coming back to the shakes and finally by Christmas day of 2012 I have lost 70lbs. Now I move so much better and my back doesn't hurt me like it use to. I'm starting this year with my shakes as well and will be working out to one of the programs from Beachbody. As far as exercise during the whole last year, I did very minimal. I walked a decent bit but nothing major or vigorous. I did try one of the programs but lasted about 2 days. I just didn't have it in me yet to get moving like that. There is no guarantee that what worked for me will work for someone else, but it certainly can't hurt to try! Good luck and I'll keep you posted how I am doing.
